Oh Heck ... ... since this thread is losing its luster.. LH ... please allow me to add one more comment .. as jingoistic as it is. Notice on them there Canadian radio stations, that they are Celebrating: the War of 1812? They started right off with a big celebration over the Fall of Detroit. (in that era, a huge, strategic location for control of North America). Yes, that occurred in 1812 .... but what followed .... was real unfortunate for Canada ... as well as the Native American tribes aligned with the British and Canadians! ROFL Next year, 2013 ... I am personally celebrating America's hugest victories ... The "Battle of Lake Erie" at Put-In-Bay; as well as the "Battle of the Thames River". Just outside of London, Ontario. Talk about a predictive outcome ... the American Army defeating British Regulars, Canadian Militia and Native Indians (led by Techumseh) ... on a river named Thames ... near a town named London? In British territory? Why we even killed that murderous, blood thirsty savage named Tecumseh! He and his braves got thier well deserved resting place! ... Yes, LH .. my mind is wandering!
