I have Java and it won't let me in the chatrooms, it keeps saying ...unable to connect to the server. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Probably the chat server will be down, try getting mIRC :)

It's probably the chat server being busy. You could try downloading and installing the JRE (java runtime environment) again, but if you have the connect screen it's probably not your pc. Windows XP SP2 does not include a JRE any more... if you recently upgraded, you will need to download the JRE and install it seperately.

It says that all the time, it has never let me in there. Ive had Java for months.

I can see the java appalet working, I have java and it says it's connected, but then I get NO chat, it's like I am in..but not really in..* tilts head* So i retinstalled java and still get the same issue. So I can't chat either[:(] ~dancer

The only chatrooms I can get in are the ones with Flash.

cuddleheart- Everytime I try to private chat with someone, it never loads - BUT - I've discovered a trick you might want to try. Whenever I come to CM, I go into the main chatroom. (It takes a while to load, but it does.) Then I go out - browse around - whatever - but can then get into private chat much more quickly. Hope this helps,
