I think if a man sends out a "dickie pic" he should puts some glasses on it, stick an apple under it's chin...dress it up in Barbi clothes
....SOMETHING!! ! Give it some personality! Some pizazz! LOL

Actually I find it rude and am likely to respond in any number of ways including :

"That's the biggest clit I have ever seen!"

"Great pic. Can I get a picture of it hard too?"

And my personal fav...

"Thank you for the pic. I bet you're going to miss it, huh boy?"
"What do you mean Misstress?"
"I'm glad you'll have a picture of it to look at after I castrate you"
(SILENCE)

None taken<g>.

Mostly I agree with you. The thing that really bugs me is the pics that are just plain crappy. It's almost like the whole 'can't be bothered to write coherantly' thing.

ProDomme -> RE: pet peeves (4/7/2004 4:21:07 PM)

Since this has become the "Nice Ass" thread, I have to say I have viewed the profile a few times...

I am in total agreement ;)

* I rarely respond to threads on this board, but that ass... it's worth commenting on :)

MistressKiss -> RE: pet peeves/Nice Ass (4/7/2004 7:13:31 PM)

I agree....perhaps we should begin a new thread in which all of the men have to post an ass shot.

Things that make you go...hhhmmmmmmm.....

Hey, women have had to do such things for years....how about a little payback!!

Grinssssssssssssss

They have?

How'd I miss that thread?

ProDomme -> RE: pet peeves/Nice Ass (4/7/2004 9:06:19 PM)

I have pics in my pro.. not of my ass however.

In fact I have considered removing them, with so many upset over pictures. If you have no extras no one is unhappy I guess.

I don't gage myself by my tits, I have the rest to go with it, so do my pics count as those so many in other threads and conversations have talked about?

*LOL*

topcat -> RE: pet peeves/Nice Ass (4/7/2004 9:14:19 PM)

M.-

well, I didn't think they were offensive, and they are not the first pic in the profile, But I thought you could have done a better job taking them.

most def face pics....

but damnnnnnnnnnnnnn topcat!!! any of yours would work ;)

rain -> RE: pet peeves (4/29/2004 7:13:56 AM)

Perhaps we should rename this thread and put topcat's now famous (or infamous) butt pic and the naked snow angels pics in one area?

It's difficult for me to remember where to find all these pics........

(getting lost is a pet peeve of mine, yet it happens almost daily!)

What say ya'll? (you all, for the grammar sensitive).

PHWOAR!
Nice juicy books!

LadyBeckett -> RE: pet peeves (4/29/2004 7:51:25 AM)

What really gets me is when someone says, "When you've seen one you've seen them all." That just ain't so! But I'm going to side with the majority here and say that most of the time a dick shot or snatch is just a dick shot or snatch, but on the other hand, just like anything else, there are some that are so well done that they are actually "art". I had a sub back in 1974 that a friend of mine did a photo journal on, that included some nudes while he was sleeping. She maintained her vigil through the night, and incredibly the series was literally breath taking. If I still had them I'd be more than happy to share them with you, but unfortunately I do not.

I think on this site, and sites like this, the attitude when posting photos is something like, "look what I've got for you!" and in most cases we're not all that impressed. Except in Lawrence's case *ahem*, although I still favor that shot of him with his arms crossed in front of him. That is just soooooo powerful! oooooomph! pssssst...if you ever feel even a little tiny bit submissive, Lawrence, call me. [;)]

Bolo -> RE: pet peeves (4/29/2004 8:26:47 AM)

Everybody is talking about dick shots and pussy shots. My pet peeve is more basic. Why is it that if you list yourself as being poly, but not married, and you are looking for "A" sub/slave., why is it that responses almost always come back: I am not wanting to be a member of a stable or a harem.

I know poly sticks in the crawl of some people but I think that one should inquire first before they assume they are going to be involved IN a poly D/s situation. I refer to a response I got last nite. Almost word for word: I am not at all interesed. I do not wish to be a part of a stable or a harem". I looked at my profile..there was NO mention of a harem, stable, slave coffle, etc. the term was "Am looking for **A** for my very own. " Talk abt flipping rude. That kind of attitude is the type that really makes me want to wonder if these people really read the ads in the first place, or do they just react in a knee-jerk reaction w/out ever finding out..grrr

Midear N.-

You know, given the option, on a first date, I'd browse her bookshelf rather than her underware drawer- and get the same guilty pleasure out of it<g>.

I am very bad though- I burn through 4-8 books a week. It's a worse habit than junk.

Stay warm, and come back soon-

Try http://www.bookcrossing.com

In addition to the great karma I get from setting my books free so that others can enjoy them, I've discovered some great books that I'd never have picked up otherwise, and gotten my hands on books via rings/rays/trades that I would have waited months for at the library or paid way too much for in hardcover.

It took me awhile to get over my strange need to *possess* all these books, even when I knew I'd never re-read them, but once I got past that...well....wow. Releasing books is addictive!

And feel free to browse my bookshelf there (Sherria is my user id). If i have anything you're interested in reading, just let me know. I'll send you a care package of books (or better yet, it would be an excuse for you to visit). :)

Hi Bolo,

I personally have nothing against poly one way or another. Some of my best friends have wonderful relationships that are poly. But, even when one of them is involved with only one person, they understand that the person they are involved with have to be willing to accept they are poly.

Honestly Sir, do you plan on becoming monogamous because the other person wants to have a one on one relationship? Because, honestly, if you *plan* on continuing to want the option to add other's to the relationship, isn't it better to know upfront that the woman has no interest in that ever happening?

MasterHyde -> RE: pet peeves (4/30/2004 11:14:34 PM)

I agree with Sandy (Hi Sandy! LTNS :-) )

I tell everyone upfront that I'm poly. It's alwys a possibility that I may go back to monogamy some day after meeting someone who is special enough to inspire that in me, but I want prospects to know right now what I'm offering. More importantly, they need to know what I'm NOT offering. I'm not going to be exclusively HER master or dominant. I have other interests, among them training and enjoying a variety of activities with other submissives. If she can't handle that, it's better to know up front.

I've been talking (just talking, not "negotiating") with one girl who has a problem with it. She keeps coming back to talk some more because I guess she finds me charming, but she clearly has major jealousy issues. I finally told her tonight that this wasn't going anywhere. I was tired of her always wondering who else I was chatting with if I didn't answer her IMs quickly enough for her liking. Most of the time, I was just composing email or doing some online research (for my job).

You might have to deal with a lot of rejection, but it's always better to know in the beginning where things are going. If there's no chance of a "love connection" you can either move on or just settle into being friends without expending your energy on the intricate "dance" and "courtship rituals" that often accompany interest in a prospective mate.

Bolo -> RE: pet peeves (5/1/2004 4:46:55 AM)

Oh no. I have absolutely NO intentions of giving up the poly life style. I was merely stating that it seems that some get so bent out of shape when they see that a contact is poly, that they feel they have to be rude when they respond, as in the case I stated. I am upfront w/the people. I generally just go about my business when I get a contact like that. And in this case its just a peeve, guys and gals, not a change of lifestyle statement. lol I am constantly amazed how closed minded a LOT of people are and not just abt people being poly.

I was just saying my 2 cents worth.

I do it allllll the time! And I have found a wonderful shop near me that has older, out of print books at very reasonable prices. So I am able to keep that cycle going. It is a karma thing though. I find that when I do let books go, that some really incredible books come back to me in the most fascinating ways.

In response to Bolo's post re Poly: So many times I see the words "harem" and "stable" used when Poly is referenced and that isn't the case at all. Or at least not in all cases. For those that are interested in learning more about Polyamory here is a link: Polyamory

Midear Sherri-

I'll check it out- I've heard of it, but haven't seen it yet.

Stay warm,
Lawrence
