I first saw this on the BBC web site, with a neat video interview. The link is playing up but the basics are in the text.

Wonderful!

There was a building here in DC that housed both Jewish and Episcopal congregations. Both a cross and a menorah perched on the roof. A friend who lived nearby said that the pair together was her favorite religious symbol on Earth.
