That puzzles me too, to be honest. It's a not uncommon phenomenon here. A newbie posts about something that interests/excites him or her, and others pile on to slam the OP. Perhaps the responders are forgetting the thrill of finally acting on one's interest in WIITWD or the comfort of discovering that others are into it too and that we're not alone. It would seem imho to make more sense to roll one's eyes and move on.

What interested me in this thread was the response dynamic that Weed had noted, so that's what I commented on. Free country and all that.

Thinking some more about the phenomenon of piling on a newbie, I found myself wondering if another factor may be at work. Might the safety and anonymity of a message board provide a way for folks who were picked on as children finally to feel like the tough kids in the schoolyard?

OP, if I can make a suggestion. If you would come back and ask questions you might get better answers rather than just snarky comments. Unlike others here I don't have issues with you wanting to talk about chastity as it is a form of bondage and a form a discipline (self discipline if done correctly) but if you want people to talk to you about it you have to give them a reason. Examples of this might be if you want to know if there are other men here that have done long term chastity. How others make sure their device stay clean and doesn't cause them health issues. How others deal with things like nocturnal erections. How much pain such things cause. What the longest amount of time anyone here has gone in a cage and how it made him feel, etc. There are up sides and down ones to chastity so if this really is your first time you might want to ask others who have been where you now are how they dealt with things.

At the moment all your op causes me the urge to do is say ...Congradulation. You seem to be enjoying things. Come back and let us know when it isn't fun anymore and maybe we can give you some advice.

To be fair, some of us did ask for him to come back to tell what he is going through, experiencing being in a chastity device for the first time. Why did I ask? Anyway, something that might be helpful to you, thewood, is a book I have right in front of me. You can get yourself one from Amazon.com, called Male Chastity, A Guide For Keyholders. Part of what I see is this:

I have other BDSM educational books here at home and it you have issues or questions before you can get your own book(s), feel free to write me on the other side and I will try to help you out.

My slave was in a chastity device for two months with his first Mistress. He can answer questions you have if you write to him (his spelling is awful due to brain injury from a mining slate fall).

With me...there is no point in locking him up; he cannot have an orgasm unless I tell him to. I only went that far with orgasm control because we are committed to growing old together. During playtime, when I am spending hours "torturing" him, it would be fun to lock him up just for the thrill of it...and for the mindfuck. You're welcome, though I would rather you did not call me that word. I don't care for it. As for the swelling...seeing as a man has yet to answer this for you...yes it is common. It is actually the part of it that tickles me the most (seeing it that is) You boys are packing so odd things and it is fun to watch them wage war on you. Varies from man to man of course but the swelling normally goes away after a week or so.
