dd85 -> Being asked to Join other sites (8/20/2012 12:39:40 AM)

Hi,

I have contacted mistresses on this site and 2 have asked me to join other sites as a first task. These sites ask for credit card details sometimes charging me money, dollar or two. Is this normal practice? Thanks

Please note at the top of the screen when you open a window to reply to email:

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO OTHER USERS FOR ANY REASON!

Edit; That would include being required to join/pay another site just to converse with the scammer (erm, Mistress... sorry).

C'mon dude... use the BIG head!

dd85 -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/20/2012 12:48:46 AM)

ye well i didnt just wanted to see if it was a common occurrence;)

LadyPact -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/20/2012 12:53:43 AM)

It's a common occurrence for males who are dumb enough to do it.

MissShey -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/20/2012 1:09:53 AM)

If it's a genuine site, and you get something back for your money, then it's not a scam.

The "Domme" might be fake, but if you get what you pay for then no scam has occurred.

Yeah, on what everyone else has said. BUT...when I have some newbie contact me, yep, I'm one of those who gives them links to learn from (a newbie infopacket, etc.) and possibly a link to Fetlife that will put them on the same page where their BDSM munch groups are, if going to munch groups interests them. All sites are free, no credit card needed, and only Fetlife needs membership. I think most of us here at CollarMe keeps track of our munch groups' events through Fet. Also, I suggest that they go to Amazon.com or Ebay to get a book called SM 101 by Jay Wiseman, to learn about types of play and safeties.

Lots of people will contact you trying to sell you something (or take a free cyberly hump on your leg)...you can use the block feature in your mail room to stop someone from writing to you again. If they want money from you or try to make any demands, just keep in mind that you owe them nothing...not even a reply. [;)]

The basic scam happens all over the net. Variations are CC numbers wanted for 'age verification' for access to R and X rated pics or 'criminal background checks' as prerequisite to meeting a hot and horny female, commonly on here and craigslist. The result is someone who isn't who you think (Name OR gender) now has your credit card number, name and other personal information. I think of it as Darwinian out selection of the really stupid from the economy, and thus, breeding, hopefully.

The scam also plays for the dollar or few. Create profiles in as many locations as you have time, stick hot model pics on them, automate the software responses and deliver the payouts to your Paypal account, which is easy to route through anonymizer sites. Small potatoes from each 'client', a nice income after you are in dozens or a few hundred areas. Typical signs on craigslist are fictional or wildly overused locations that just don't Have that many people and 'English as a second language' parsing. Collarme Anony-Dommes (You are NOT going to meet 'her'.) are a bit more sophisticated. Starting a relationship with a credit card payment does set a tone grownups tend to raise an eyebrow at?
I'm pretty sure most of these hot sluts and foxy financial Dommes are actually unemployed middle aged programmers living in Russia or Eastern Europe, who are doing much better, thank you, now the net is world wide.

dd85, whenever I see a question from a male sub about the scammers/tribute Mistresses, etc., that imply that he spends all his time without successful contact with the genuine Dommes, I always assume that his profile is bad. Yours is no exception.

Fill it out, and let people know WHO you are! You will never interest a real woman, looking for a relationship, with an empty profile.

NiceButMeanGirl -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/21/2012 9:32:28 AM)

What DarkSteven said. Except that advice could go for anyone on either side of the kneel. Fill out your profile, for crying out loud. All it says right now is you're looking for genuine people. Isn't everyone? You need to put more in your profile than that. Personalize it by saying more about yourself, what you're looking for and what you can add to a dynamic. If I were still looking & saw your profile, I'd pass it by because there's nothing in it. No wonder you just get the ones redirecting you to sites that ask for money.

Hey guys thanks for responses. Of course I didn't attempt to pay for anything with my CC. IT was just a case that two happening in a matter of days and I wondered how regular this occurs here.
This thread has also brought up other issues to do with my profile which I am grateful for. Cheers 'DarkSteven' and NBMG'. I will address this :)

TNDommeK -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/21/2012 11:40:23 AM)

I have to disagree with the "sending money to others" thing. Some men are into that, however I would at least verify or make sure the person I was doing that with is 100% who you think she/he is.
That being said, yea signing up for other sites might not be the way to go. Now if you're curious and want to check it out, go for it. But If you want to find a fin domme, no other website is needed. There are plenty on here that are genuine and can verify.

I have that on my profile at the top" I will not ask you to sign up for some other site". Why would I? I am quite sure those people who ask you to do that have to pay that site a certain percentage of something, right? Fuck that? I want all of what I am sent, lol. Just saying!!

GreedyTop -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/21/2012 12:14:30 PM)

K.. but from all I have seen, you are quite upfront about it. I think what the OP is talking about is the ones that entice to yahoo (or something) then say.."to continue this convo..blahblahblah... go to this site, you only need to give a CC number and then you'll get my private messenger" crap.

Thus the reminders: DO NOT SEND MONEY. Sadly, too many think with the little head, and ignore that.

What I have gotten from YOU, since you've been here, is that YOU do actually dialogue with guys prior to the $$ thing.

(sorry if that came off as as crass, but I am sleepy and trying not to sleep yet, so that I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed for lunch tomorrow, with my boss)

TNDommeK -> RE: Being asked to Join other sites (8/21/2012 5:43:38 PM)

Not crass at all, I totally got it, and you are exactly right in everything you said. That is how I operate.
And you are right about the "lets continue this convo here on this site " type thing. It fucks shit up for ppl like Me,lol.
