frazzle.. the article was (sadly) US centric. I don't know how the process works anywhere else in the world, but if you read the article, you will see that (at least here, in some parts of teh US) people are being SPECIFICALLY trained to do the forensics on rape cases. Many people who are raped decide to just try to erase it by showering, etc. Those who don't are not always (or often) prepared for the clinical aspects of what they will face in the search for prosecution. This article is meant to open some eyes, in the event of... I'd have much rather had a person who has had soem training to address a rape, SPECIFICALLY, than to deal with an intern who treats it as just another routine, and annoying GYN exam.
