Status: offline 		That episode is actually my favourite piece of comedy of all time.

It starts as a normal Blackadder episode, but progressively throughout the episode it gets more and more bitter and dark, as zero hour approaches. And when the time comes and the episode finishes they actually take an established joke "I have a cunning plan" and flatten it to actually not be funny at all.

I love it. Brilliantly clever writing

Status: offline 		I have every Black Adder episode and even the Christmas special and the other one (which I don't much care for) on disc.

Steven Frye was amazing, also. He was the youngest cast member (I think that's right) and played the eldest (usually).

HA! I've seen those episodes on PBS and they're some of my faves. Including the first ever episode. I may have been too young but I caught up with all of them. Favorite was the Christmas one with the battery operated doggies doing a daisy chain.

I also love "Keeping Up Appearances" with Hyacinth Bucket ( pronounced bouquet of course).
