This is Kana Frankly, personally, in some, hell, many ways I'd like to see lots more snark. Heck, I'd like to see grenade launchers. I participate on some forum boards that are pretty much wide open-if a person says something idiotic or patently ridiculous, they get killed for it right quick. In a lot of ways I think we are waaaaaay to tolerant of obvious fakes and treat em far too kindly, hence they keep coming back...and worse...bring lots of their kind-hearted empty pocketed "friends" to ask absurd questions, act like trolls and, IMHO, pick our brains on this side so they can be better fakes and frauds on the other. (Note-this ain't an attack on the mods or how they do their job, they have a thankless, difficult task and do it for fun and for free, which I admire and respect. And hey, it's their house, they get to make the rules and as a guest I respect that and their right to do so, just offering feedback here) That said, this is pretty much standard operating procedure as a small tight knit community grows-bonds loosen and often break, important valued members seek greener pastures elsewhere and take their knowledge and social footprint with them, strangers wander in with all the accompanying pros and cons, and trust deteriorates as familiarity fades. It happened in the colonies, it happened in ancient greece, it happened with the rise of suburbia and the explosion of the automobile Buuuuuuuuut, there are still amazing people here and a wealth of knowledge, some incredible discussions about real, meaningful shit occur on a pretty regular basis, and good feedback occurs on a regular basis. Plus there's a whole lot o'flat out silly and that's always good, especially in a realm where waaaay waaay too many folk have a tendency to be overly serious. Silly is healthy. It demonstrates balance. Not trying to offend, just a long time denizen calling em as I see em....
