ORIGINAL: VideoAdminGamma Fast reply If someone post something that has a link, staff or other users may not click the link. If you look at the image and word by itself, then the decision was made. Clicking links which may be to videos, articles where the nugget is hidden in 1000 words, can be time consuming. If the words "Begging Game" had been put anywhere close to the link, it would have helped with communication. Communication is the essence of discussion, isn't it? There is even precedent set by 21 concerning related type of things (see below). Being vague in a post, and then having it misunderstood seems like an odd way to try and work in cooperation to make things better. You can even ask Cryptic that I am open to discussion and better understanding things. Now the assumptions can continue, and lots of negativity brought about, or we can all (me as well) learn from it and move on. I choose to learn. That was apparently a link to another post, so it did not really apply , but had it been a link to an article, it could have been deleted for that as 21 states here: http://www.collarchat.com/m_4178251/tm.htm Threads started with a link to an article, or the introductory paragraph to an article, and no question, comment, opinion or anything of the sort will be removed without any further notice. _____________________________ Leader of Team 21 If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. Thanks for being a part of CollarMe, Gamma I suggest you make this "rule" either a sticky or a post in "Administrative Announcements". You don't read every single posting on these boards, so why expect anyone else to do so? Not everyone is going to read this thread and not everyone has read the post ModTwentyOne made that you linked. To have an expectation that posters be aware of this when it's a post buried in a random thread is far from being a good form of communication to all who post here. As for your comment about posters and mods not necessarily clicking on links, it only takes a modicum of logic to extrapolate the idea the link is to something likely associated with the thread. Personally I don't bother with links half the time and I can't imagine wasting my time on anything that was so detailed as to be a hidden "nugget" in the linked page. So those posts aren't a waste of time, they just get passed over. If posters are complaining about wasting their time clicking on a link and not finding the information until they have waded through mountains of text, I'd say they have no common sense. I find these types of posts to be essentially benign. I just don't see the big issue there. I find it more of an issue to get reprimanded or have a post pulled without explanation over a "rule" that hasn't been established to begin with, but was stated by a moderator somewhere in one of the many posts on this board. Talk about a hidden nugget and time waster! A post with a link that is without any preamble doesn't even compare. With threads that have only a link and no verbiage within the post...isn't the thread title equivalent to the preamble requested?
