I like the idea Kkalifornia, I just dunno if we have the posters to keep it going, BUT, heres hoping.
Ok first of all...
Ive done this to give people who dont have webspace to post pics on...
I use Imgur.
In pic one...Go to imgur.com and look for "new post"

Which brings you to this screen. You can drag and drop from your computer, or you can browse your computer to the folder for the pic you wanna post. Or even the url of a site.

It will then show you this screen, please note the lack of a file extension. Posting just the URL will not show up on CM

If you right click on the image, it gives you a dropdown of possibilities, Use the Open Image In New Tab choice( Ive underlined it in the pic.)

It will then take you to the url of the image itself.

That url is what you post between the image tags on the forum.
Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or the end of the url otherwise it wont show.
I dont use photobucket or flickr or any other pic site, but I believe it would be the same in practice.
