When I was at school, we discussed how the show was funny because Archie wasn't always right and wasn't always wrong; that there was something for everyone. The fact that the loony lefties are so open about their anti-American stance is what makes it even more on-point, today. I pity the poor knuckle-dragging mouth breathers that voted for the Keny ... ooooops ... I mean Hawaiian. Peace and comfort, Michael

I guess thats why the republicans are asking us to sacrifice: Dumping rat poison in our drinking water dumping mercury in our air shipping jobs overseas pay taxes for the rich dumping mercury in our air giving everything away to corporations laying massive debt on us taking away baby milk so that we can make more war toys and so on

Maybe Archie Bunker should run for President on the Republican ticket.At least hes funny and has more personality dead than both Mittens and Ryans have combined alive.

Ironically, both the actor who played the role of Archie Bunker (Carroll O'Connor) and the show's producer (Norman Lear) were liberals, politically speaking. The whole point of the Archie Bunker character was to show the stupidity of the average blue-collar conservative.

Of course Archie Bunker was just a character to show how stupid White Trash society really is.Carroll O"Conner(the real Archie Bunker)went on to play the role of a Police Chief in a small Mississippi town in the show "In the heat of the night".There,he played role of the small town ignorant chief and towards the end of the show,he became more enlightened about culture and he was attracted to a Black Female.Carroll O Conner was a great actor and thats why we're still talking about his shows.
