Let's see... -Once I bought him 48 cans of mountain dew and wrapped them individually (they have to be imported in the uk) -I once saved up all of my change and small bank notes for a year so he could afford to go shopping for new computer parts -Every week I go to the supermarket and get his favourite brand of cereal, bread, butter, cheese, shampoo, toothpaste (etc) -I bought him one of those resurrection cacti that look dead until you set them in water -I got him some badass headphones for his computer -Just a few days ago I ordered him a carriage whip, even though the thought terrifies me in a non-sexy way -Oh and I once got him a copy of the first wheel of time book signed by the author and cover illustrator So you should definitely get him all of those things. Masters like soda, bread, cacti, computer parts, whips and fantasy novels. Sorry OP. But it's impossible to think of a gift idea for someone we've never met. The best gifts are ones which show you've thought about them, put a lot of time into selecting it and caught a little bit of their personality. Does he wear jewelry? Does he like to fish, cook or travel? Does he collect anything? Is there a toy he lusts after? Anything can be a meaningful keepsake if it means something to the two of you.
