Those things are normal everyday stuff...
My personal preference for gifts is actual
thought time and effort over receiving
some thing from a shop.
I'd rather have something that is a relaxing
activity that requires me not to have to
really go anywhere or do anything, like
maybe a huge buffet of interesting foods
that I haven't tried before along with a
Meticulously prepared naked sub tied up
with ribbons...
when I say prepared (TMI warning)
I mean, really super cleaned, exfoliated,
enemaed, with maybe matching soft pink
makeup to match the ribbons, bleached
butt, the whole nine yards.

But it would be pretty presumptuous to
think doing that would be enough, hence
the exotic buffet.

My first dom liked cowboy poetry, and used to read it to me - so i got him a book of cowboy poetry. He was very touched that i remembered that he liked that genre.
I also bought him a butt hook, which may be a bit self serving , until you saw the ball on the end of it. Ouch!

I made him a quilt.

My sweetie likes hiking, so i got him a book of off the beaten track hikes in this state.

I bought him a sterling silver rosary beads while we were in Mexico.

You have to look at what he likes, and go from there. If you cross stitch or quilt or knit - make him something. Even if he doesn't use it, if he knows the time spent making it, he will appreciate it.

I gave my Master all three box sets of Lord of the Rings special extended editions on DVD once when I was a slave. I also gave him a pink plush pig once.

What you should give your Master depend on his tastes, however if you want it to be lifestyle related, what about a nice steel keychain with the BDSM symbol etched on it, that might be a nice gift.

Just recently I made my owner a book out of a deck of cards called 52 Reasons Why I Love You, and (you guessed it) on each card I wrote one reason why I love him. Here's a link to show you what I mean (this one isn't mine but is one I used as inspiration and has a fabby tutorial)...
