There's a local switch named Kevin, who's just a natural. I first met him when he was with an ex-sub of mine. He came up and asked me politely if he could watch while I topped my sub DSG. I'm just curious if there are other men or women like him in other communities, who just take to this instantly?

Sounds to me like he already knows what he likes, and he's simply outgoing and isn't worried about anyones judgement or 'messing up' he's just doing what he likes and exploring as he can. Many people admire extroverts for being so 'naturally good' at things, when often it is not their aptitude for a skill that's greater, it's their excellence and being outgoing that makes them fly over stumbling blocks that others often stumble upon. Now if he mastered long tail whips in a day then I'd be seriously impressed.

Sounds like he was fun to watch. It is amazing when someone falls into their role for the first time with as much or more grace and style than an old warhorse... especially if they are very young. Some people fit so nicely and comfortably in their role (Top/bottom) it seems they can do no wrong. I have seen it and loved seeing it. Renews your faith in the order of things when you see something like that.

This is kana And I understand that...but this is different. This is a guy who meets some ladies at a play party, talk to em, impresses them enough that they do a scene, then tips them. (Chortles-tips for tops, sounds like a show song) I mean hey, maybe I'm being naive. I haven't been to a private play party in ages (boohoo-sobs, nobody invites Kana to the kewl shindigs) so maybe things have changed, but I always thought that they were for, well, you know, play. And not paid play. Now it may have been pre-arranged in the discussion, but it just strikes a strange chord. And not just with me. The mouse used to own a dungeon and host all sortsa wild parties and she's never heard of it. That seems kinda weird. You've hosted play parties. Do you have or would you have pro's working them? And again, I'm not picking a bone, pointing any fingers or taking a side on the paid domme thing, just genuinely curious about something I've never heard of...

I only ever host private parties at my home, there's only one pro I've ever invited and I let her business stay her business. I have never quite heard of this, though I can see it being a form of respect, though that totally depends on the pro domme. I tend to let pros and their clients keep their negotiations quiet. I have seen pro dommes be auctioned for sessions at parties, though all proceeds went to charity (typically NCSF) fundraisers. All parties I've attended do not allow cash for service exchanges on site between the attendees. A lot of the time this is done so the venue can remain open and above board. Pros either attend with their personal submissives, or with clients in service, or have previously paid tribute for the entire night. I'm certain this sort of thing has happened though the laws in our area, and how well the venues around here work to keep themselves above board if this did happen at a party I bet it would have been done very discreetly.

fr- thanks for sharing that anecdote! i suppose there's just some people, like john wayne, ronald reagan, Marylynne Monroe;, etc, who just command a presence with many things they do. sorry i'm not up on play party etiquette, but i can see both sides, depending on how it was done (perhaps naively and discreetly), as in appreciation, versus being "utilized" and paid.

I talked to a young lady at a play party last night, who is new to the lifestyle. She asked for my help in administering a flogging to a gentleman there. While it did take her a few tries, in no time she was paddling and flogging away. I must say that I was impressed with how quickly it fell into place for her. It was also a boon for me, as it helped me get over my nervousness about playing in public.
