Interesting you wont comment on the rest though.

Not as interesting as that you won't comment on what you actually posted.

I'm sure it's a well crafted story, Tazzy, but I don't give a shit, and all the context you now want to bring in wasn't in what you asked for comment on in your OP.  The clip was the topic, remember?

I'm glad you can afford HBO these days.  Enjoy your television program.

Good night.

I can afford HBO... I can also afford Hulu when I need to brush up on something someone else posts here as well.

I am oh so sorry the content was not to your liking, Rich.

The questions I asked you directly do not change.

Further, as to the video itself, I was more interested in his last statement.

On screen behind McAvoy while he reads:
- Ideological purity
- Compromise as weakness
- A fundamentalist belief in scriptural literalism
- Denying science
- Unmoved by facts
- Undeterred by new information
- A hostile fear of progress
- A demonization of education
- A need to control women’s bodies
- Severe xenophobia
- Tribal mentality
- Intolerance of dissent
- A pathological hatred of the US government

They can call themselves the Tea Party. They can call themselves Conservatives. And they can even call themselves Republicans. Though Republican’s certainly shouldn’t. But we should call them what they are: The American Taliban. And the American Taliban cannot survive if Dorothy Cooper is allowed to vote.

Since that part is within the OP.... it shouldnt need further explanation.

But it was well written liberal pap, with intelligent, witty characters.

I never watched it, but Aaron Sorkin was the writer--excellent excellent excellent. His "Sports Night" should have run forever, had ABC not botched it up.

Sorkin, not ABC botched it... Sorkin had three networks and HBO willing to pick up SN, but Sorkin gave it up to produce and write The West Wing... Imagine SN on HBO... Would have been fantastic.
