ARIES83 -> schadenfreude (8/28/2012 2:13:09 AM)

Is it just me or is it a sadistic thing...
does anyone else experience schadenfreude
when they see someone posting who is [AA]?

When I see these guys replying to posts
and all that comes out is [AA], I have to
admit my inner voice does a little, "mwa haar"

I'm assuming that something on their side
makes it so they don't realise their comments
are getting blocked, else why keep posting...

No, it's just you. :P

When I was moderated, I was told I could post, but that my posting would have to be reviewed before it was going to appear and there was no guarantee of when that would happen, so my guess is this is why those on moderation continue to post. Me? I didn't bother. It isn't like I had anything earth-shattering to share that couldn't wait until after the moderation was completed.

JstAnotherSub -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 2:31:31 AM)

Ah hell DD everything you post is earth shattering!

If I was moderated, I would not post til it was over. So, if I have been or not been moderated would be my lil secret. Well, and the mods would know too I reckon!

DeviantlyD -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 2:39:09 AM)

Coming from a buttered butt biscuit, I'll take that as a complement. *gleeful grin*

cuntmuffin...*LOL* I must say, I am entertained by the variety of euphemisms for various body parts. The funniest one (for me) was purple-helmeted warrior of love! *snorts*

I don't think you could ever be moderated JstAnotherSub...nope...not you. To quote Sade, "sweet as cherry pie". :D

yourdarkdesire -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 2:59:11 AM)

Aries, I might be wrong, but I am guessing that you might be referring to someone in off topic that was posting on every single thread last night. I found myself getting very frustrated and angry with that individual.

doctorgrey -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 3:51:33 AM)

Tarnation!

I thought this was going to be about people falling through rotten planking into freezing water whilst fooling around and posing by the lake for the camera

or the 'dad' impressing the 'kid' on the new bike, showing him/her 'how it's done' - forgetting the hedges/picket fence/lamp post.

or...

....or...

you get the idea.

That silent guy made me think of it most
recently, not sure if he's the one you mean
but I can't think of any others on moderation
that I've seen lately.

yourdarkdesire -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 5:33:44 AM)

Yeah, he's the one, and now he's here in PRS posting on threads he has never ever been on before. I think he is just trying to pad his post count, because nothing is coming through. I am annoyed......

Phoenixpower -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 5:44:18 AM)

Usually it doesn't bother me at all when someone posts and AA turns up....only with one poster it made me grin a little bit as in that instance I was glad that he was moderated as he was incredible nasty to a particular person and went way out of control with his comments....in that instance I was glad we got saved from that shit....but in other cases so far it really didn't bother me at all...guess I am reading the boards too less compared to some years ago, that it really catches my interest...

Hillwilliam -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 6:08:39 AM)

I enjoy the FUCK out of it.

Knowing that some total twit cant be his trollish self and his very reason for existence (annoying people, whining and passive-agressive name calling) has been put on hold for a period of time warms the cockles of my heart.

Knowing about the anguish of someone with their fingers in the chain link, looking thru the knothole and watching the big kids at play makes my black heart happy.

If I knew that the moderation was a direct result of a reply to something I said Id...................Fuck man, I'd get a woody.

yourdarkdesire -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 6:28:02 AM)

I don't mind seeing them occasionally. But we are talking between 40-50 threads in the last twelve hours.

You are so not alone HW. Among others, LaT, Aileen, I  share that kink, and we are sporting wood 24/7/365.

Ouch that's cold!
I thought I enjoyed they're suffering, but WOE!
... Woodies and all! [:D]

Well atleast I'm not alone in the schadenfreude.

LanceHughes -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 7:06:01 AM)

When I saw AA, my mind went to Alcoholics Anoymous.  How rude to have a spell of "schadenfreude" over a person's reveal...... LOL!

Now to subject at hand...

I hate AA. Flow of thread is broken.  I think "Now what could that be about?"  I rarely go back after the "period" is over.  Actually, pretty sure I never have.  Maybe instead of AA, a few other abbreviations.  ITU = insult to user. NOT = Not on topic.... see what I did there? LOL! Etc., covering the range of reasons AA happens.

Depends who it is..thinking about getting a hard on over some, is not gonna happen:)

LadyHibiscus -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 7:55:02 AM)

I get a serious cackle over some of them. SERIOUS.

I don't get why they bother posting while they're moderated, by the time their posts go live, the conversation has moved on. That wild NEED to be heard, even in their own minds?

Delilya -> RE: schadenfreude (8/28/2012 8:01:53 AM)

I'm with Hillie when it comes to one poster.

Actually, there is and has been several. I still get nasty emails occasionally from some of em. They find out that I don't have to be so damn nice when using Cmail communications.
