Greetings

I love the color of your hair it suit you so well, and your hair look very healthy and thick as well.

I wish you well

LaTigresse -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:37:33 PM)

Nephandi, your hair is GORGEOUS!

I am more than a wee bit jealous.

I've always had very fine, thin, hair..........and it's not getting any thicker with age ( @#$^*&*$%#!! hormones!). Which is why mine will likely always be veddy shortish. The longest hair on my head might be 2 inches.

I always wanted long, thick, shiny hair.............le'sigh.

GreedyTop -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:44:23 PM)

my hair seems to like getting to mid shoulderblades without devolving into split ends and frizz.

it's time for a trim.

Natural colour is ... wait. I don't remember, anymore. But I have been using variations on dark reds until recently. I have now settled on Revlon 41 (it most closely matches my eyeborows).

hair care is wash, towel dry, and pulled back to a ponytail, most often.

ETA: my hair is on the thinner side of being between thin and medium thick.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:45:39 PM)

Imma go home and pout now. Or at least look mournful.

GreedyTop -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:47:50 PM)

Hibbie... you is TEH GORGEOUSNESS!!! and it has nothing to do with the thickness of your hair.

truly.

(although, I do understand wanting THAT WHICH ONE DOES NOT HAVE -like me and bigger tits and ass...)

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:49:29 PM)

Really, didnt you notice the difference even between this year and last year? It's horrible!! Not that my hair was ever as fabulous as Nephandi's!

LaTigresse -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 1:53:34 PM)

Hibby is the meeeeeeeeeeeannnnnnnopause whore moans?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 2:01:07 PM)

Actually, LaT, i think its the mix of stress, my genetic legacy AND hormones. I am so hosed.[:-]

GreedyTop -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 2:12:13 PM)

No, Hibbie. I honestly did not notice. I was focused on the stuff that matters. Your smile, your hugs, your SELF. The fact that you are my sister of the heart.

everything else is irrelevent to me, so I pay no attention.

A bit of topic but ohh you like hair toys? I adore hair toys, ask Aswad I have more things to stick in my hair than you could shake a stick at. What hair pin is on your wish list if I may ask, I love to oogle at what other people's taste in hair toys are.

I LOVE any kind of accessory, my currently hair accessory wishlist is 59 items. http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/2BUIZF2HG1R8R/ref=cm_wl_rlist_go_o_C-12

The $4 pin is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Allstar-BIO21712-Hair-Volumizing-Inserts/dp/B002BABHZE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2BUIZF2HG1R8R&coliid=IHR98W3PDCYAX

needlesandpins -> RE: Long Hair (8/28/2012 2:29:51 PM)

you'll have to excuse the actual pic, but it shows my hair ok. it's longer in reality though, and grows like bloody wildfire.

*whimper* NOTHING stays in my hair!! the hair combs fall out fairly quickly. chopsticks? forget it. All I have found that works is elastics, wound so tightly that my hair is now a zillion different lengths, from the breakage that binding my hair that tightly causes.

Ok what styles of buns have you tried with hair sticks? How long is your hair and have you tried hair forks? I might be able to direct you to ways to use less hair damaging ways to keep your hair in check if I know a bit about more about your hair.

To Ishtar:

Oh those hair toys on you wish lists are beautiful I especially like the black hair clips. Do you have a large hair toy collection? I mostly use hair sticks and hair forks, though I have a few clips and the like. Clips will not hold my hair however so I can only use them for decoration.

I wish you both well

I have never seen a clip like that before, interesting.

I am afraid I am a bit of a nut when it comes to hair toys. This is some of my hair stick collection, or rather it was my hair stick collection a few months ago, it have sort of grown since then:

By the way have you tried to shop on etsy? They have amazing hand made hair toys there and often they can be had rather cheaply as well.

I wish you well

That is a great colour for you, Fluffy!! Did your hair texture change at all after the chemo? My friend Barb's hair came in all curly, she was like a little sheep! Then it came back to her normal texture.

In the beginning it came in very tight, grey curls. Then as it got longer it started to straighten out like it was before the chemo. When i wash it it is a little kinky but straightens out with brushing and sleeping on it. I use shampoo on it only once a week. The hairdresser touches up the roots every three weeks.

My message to women facing chemo is not to worry about the loss of their hair. It will grow back. Try to look at it as an adventure in different styles.
