AStrictTeacherUK -> Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 2:44:11 PM)

On the basis there is no information in the FAQ.
It does not appear to be possible to contact a moderator (unless I have missed an obvious link somewhere, entirely possible).
And there is no way to chase up or progress a support ticked, or even know if it has been received.
And lastly apologies for this being here but there does not appear to be a support forum either ...

Does anyone happen to know how long the spam filter block is in place on the internal messaging system if you happen to be cursed with a typing speed fast enough that it thinks you are spam ?

Been 3 hours now and the block is still in place.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This thread might have the answers you seek: http://www.collarchat.com/m_4107241/mpage_1/tm.htm

Ok, that thread was funny but didn't have any real answers.

OP - I'm guessing 24 hours. The problem might be both volume of mail and the fact that your recipients are reporting it as spam. If you send a sample first email I will be happy to look at it and tell you what might be triggering the spam filter.

mnottertail -> RE: Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 2:53:46 PM)

Yeah, I don't like that support tickets arent like the report post tickets.

Do you know any moderator names?   thats one, and another would be to research the grey bar under your name and you might be led to water there as well.

It has been repeated here, (but you must be new) a multitude of times that moderators moderate, they have nothing whatsoever to do with support and your little naughtiness with the cmail thing ain't anything a moderator can do anything about, if they even were interested in it.

So, you got what you got, and wait upon support and events.

AStrictTeacherUK -> RE: Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 3:02:42 PM)

Thanks for the quick reply but still not much help. I have raised a support ticket but there does not seem to be anyway to chase this up or even confirm that it has been received ?

mnottertail -> RE: Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 3:09:49 PM)

correct.

GreedyTop -> RE: Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 3:18:17 PM)

The Mods are volunteers. They may have not yet had time to interrupt their personal lives to respond to your issue.

Allow 48 hours for a support ticket to be addressed before sending in another ticket.

Well while you practice patience and wait for the filter to be lifted and or the ticket to be answered, you could take kalikshama up on her gererous offer.

LadyPact -> RE: Greetings and a Question (8/28/2012 3:52:57 PM)

Along with the answers that you have received, I think you might be very interested in this:

Why am I temporarily blocked from sending messages by the spam filter?

Our spam filter monitors the onsite messages you send to other users and will be activated if it determines that you're sending out a large number of generic messages. To prevent the filter from activating we recommend that you take the time to read the profiles of the other users on the site and send a personalized message to those that interest you. This is also a great way to get good responses back.

Long Live the Spam Filter!!!

Edited to add the quote so there would be no confusion between what is listed on the "Help" screen and My personal opinion.

That would be awesome, except that her very kind offer relies on the mail system ...

I will go and find a slice of patience pie I think.
