I'm not new to BDSM - have been active as a dominant for a decade - but am now going through a shift of sorts - recognizing that I'm actually a Master looking for his one true slave, than a dominant looking for a compatible submissive.

It's new territory for me - so I'm reading, and asking questions both here and on some email groups. As with pretty much everything else in the BDSM world, I see there's a lot of variation in how people embrace TPE, IE, Master/slave relationships - so I think that I can figure out my own comfort zone as I move along.

For me, the "romantic" part remains just as important as the "control" part. As a dominant romantic sadist, I couldn't imagine loving less in order to control more. Happily, I've run into enough experienced folks in the TPE realm to feel comfortable that this is entirely a workable proposition - both for me and "the one" who will be my perfect match as my own road in this journey continues to unfold.

I'm enjoying the site - and find it encouraging to know that a number of people have found a wonderful partner here. Kudos to the owners and moderators for making this free space so useful, and so friendly.
