I was wondering if there is any good (both reputable, informative and/or usable) directory or a guide to stores selling bondage gear?

"usable" would include: rating on several different categories (e.g. overall price level, merchandise quality, merchandise bang for the buck, user reviews) and ideally being able to search/filter on ratings. For B&M stores, searching on proximity to a given location.

"informative" would include things like what their specialty is (e.g. this store sells great cuffs, that store great whips); user reviews/ratings etc..

I'm a Dom who has only used "DIY" bondage gear, and therefore know next to nothing about where I should turn to buy "proper" gear outside Home Depot.

i buy all of my bondage gear from Mr S Leather (http://www.mr-s-leather.com/index.html) or their female subsidiary counterpart Madame S Bondage (http://www.madame-s.com/index.html).... i have bought from JT's stockroom and found their cut rate prices show in the lack of quality in their items. in my opinion, it's best to invest in some seriously quality gear and pay a little more and have it for many years as opposed to buying cheap gear that wears out fast and you have to keep replacing.
Mr S Leather is expensive, but their quality and customer service are top notch and well worth it. i have called and asked questions; the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly but professional. i hope this helps!

Don't forget Current Pleasures. They're focused mostly on e-stim. They might have cut-rate pricing but their quality is right up there with the best.
