This may be a bit off topic, but it might be a good time to bring it up. I get modded on occasion, like I suspect everyone does on P&R (where the opinions do get a bit strident at times, true), and while I can't fault the Mods, I wish they would include the specific posting they take issue with in their 'golden missive'. After all, how is one to learn from one's mistakes if the specifics aren't pointed out? Mods? Pretty please?

Please contact me if I ever send a letter without sending a copy of the post. Usually it is only those that are replying that do not get a copy back, and if you contact me I will get you a copy as soon as I can (ask others, I do it even if it takes a while). The problem is that it takes a while to pull a violation, then all the replies, log them in the moderator area, send mails and stay on top of other issues that may be coming up. This is not an excuse but an explanation.

One thing users can do is not reply to messages they should know will likely get pulled. This will reduce the amount of messages we have to pull and log. Just report those messages and skip over them.

Even if another moderator forgets to send, or is in a rush, you can contact them, myself or VideoAdminAlpha and we should be able to get a copy to you.

Thanks for being a part of CollarMe,

Okay, Termy. You're going to hate me for this, but I gotta ask: why is the guy who isn't afraid of anything afraid of posting under his own username?

I even looked thru all 4 of the offsite links and didn't see restarting a zapped discussion mentioned.

Can you tell me why, when you see a thread that a moderator has determined should be closed for whatever reason, you would think it was a good idea to basically override that decision and restart the discussion?

Because the person who made the thread untenable was gone.

ETA, the restarted thread at least began (I dont know what the last couple hours were like) with everyone being respectable, finding common ground and at worst shaking hands and agreeing to disagree.

ETA. If threads are constantly killed because one person sees an argument going badly and they know that all they have to do is begin a bunch of passive agressive attacks and name calling on the other posters to get the thread deleted, isn't that allowing ONE person to dictate how we do business here?

I would like you to email me and let me know what thread you are talking about, because there is no reason for a thread to be pulled because of ONE poster committing violations, no matter how many of them there are. That posters remarks would be pulled period. However, if EVERYONE got in the fray or there were multiple people committing violations causing a causing a large portion and/or majority of the thread to require being removed, the entire thread gets pulled. If the entire thread gets pulled, sorry, that topic is closed. The users have a choice whether to commit violations, ( even though I can sympathize that it can be hard at times to sit on your hands) Click the report button, let a poster if they are committing violations do so singularly, and that poster's actions will be handled, and the thread will remain. I love you to death, but surely you arent saying that one poster MADE a bunch of posters violate TOS? I am not aware of the thread of which you are speaking about but if you would like to email me and tell me what it was about, I will (in this case) let you know whether it was one poster or more.

ETA: If it was zapped because of multiple violations, then its zapped. Starting same subject over when the thread is cancelled is almost ALWAYS not allowed( A recent exception was made when a thread was started by a banned user that tried to post under a pseudo nick to evade ban. The subject itself nor the replies were not the problem). If you have a doubt as to why a thread was pulled and would like to revisit the subject, even though the chances are really slim because the reasons for exception are so few, you are always able to cmail a moderator you see moderating at the top of the threads and ask. That would be highly suggestible instead of taking it on yourself to repost a subject that has been closed.

By the way, you had a valid point(all of you). I should have been more clear with the posting of the changed guidelines. I edited the sticky, hopefully providing clarity.
