It's been a while since I was the one to start the roll call so I thought I'd take the helm this month. For those who are new, the roll call is just an opportunity to let each other know what is going on in our lives. Highs, lows, successes, and failures. On the forefront, I think it's pretty much official. As far as a habit goes, I've pretty much quit smoking. Yes. Me. Of all people. Oh, I suck on this vapor/electronic cig like a crack pipe, but I'm not filling My lungs with shit anymore. Biggest benefit - the smoker's cough is GONE. Biggest detriment - I gained weight and I am NOT thrilled with that. I'm trying to cut Myself some slack on that part, but damn it's hard when the jeans are too tight. We're still doing the ups and downs of being a full time poly family. Oddly enough, MP is having control issues. It was easy for him to let go of certain things when clip was only with us part of the time. It's harder for him on full time. I haven't figured out how to fix this just yet. When it gets rough, clip just tries to hang in there until the two D types are arguing. I've been invited to do another wax demo and be a vendor for an event on the twenty-second. I'm starting to think I will become typecast for wax but after hearing about what happened over some twit using the wrong wax (referring to the thread I started in General) I just can't seem to turn My back when somebody wants the educational angle explored. Yeah, it means I'll work My ass off making candles again but something in Me says that it's worth it. What's new in your world?

Forgive the new guy in the forum (not new to BDSM), but your post has raised my curiousity. I've seen the electric cig in convience stores, but I don't get it. I'd like to know more about what it is and what it does for folks who use it. What makes it more useful that sucking on a wooden stick when you've done the good thing and flogged tobacco out of your life. Congrats for that.

Congrats LP on kicking the cancer sticks! You KNOW you have done the right thing! Your body and your loved ones will thank you. Cabin Boy and I had a hard delivery up the coast after a race two weeks ago. As usual, conditions were very confused and extreme off Pt. Buchon. We fell off a wave and hit hard in the trough, breaking a spreader, a chain plate, and cracking a swage fitting. I was below at the time and got thrown against every sharp fecking object there is on that boat (there are a lot). I'm still covered in bruises and nursing owwies. We were able to limp into port which was much better than the two other vessels we were buddy-boating with. Both lost rudders AND engines, and had to be towed in by the CG. One tried to sail north 'til nearly midnight and finally called a panpan in defeat. We were the luckiest. I've been feeling puny for several months, ignoring it and soldiering on. S and CB pushed me into a doc visit and she declared me a 'tough old bird' (which I think is the highest compliment considering the circumstances.) I'm severely anemic due to an unidentified internal bleed. Next week are the diagnostics...the scoping from both ends and other delights. I'm into medical scenes but about this I gotta say: <sarcasm font>Gee, I can hardly wait...<sarcasm font> Worst of all, I'm on 'lockdown'. Telling me I can't exercise is like throwing me in the hole and pitching the key in the ocean. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I'm too exhausted and weak to put up much fight. S is standing by...he's awesome in these situations. We'll take it one day at a time. This ain't our first rodeo. The band's doing great! We get better and more creative by the week. Against doc's orders I played a house concert with them tonight. I gotta keep some semblance of my life, yanno. Hope everyone had a great summer! Happy fall, y'all!

Life is pretty good in Sunshine World. I'm still working out with El Diablo. Hitting a plateau, but hey, doesn't it always happen? I'm loving how strong I'm getting. And what's that thing I see in the mirror there? Why, it's a tricep! The semester is beginning, and whew I'm CUHRAZY busy. I won't even go into it, because I'm keeping everything in small, doable packages of TO BE DONE. As y'all know, I had a grand time in England this summer and met not only Crazy ML and Lady Constanze, but one of my online FL friends. That was just the bees knees, getting all that sex in a voice right there in front of me. The ONLY thing that would have made it better is if Alan Rickman had popped 'round the pub for a pint. I've gotten a couple more things published and have been asked to write a textbook in an up and coming topic. That's pretty cool! A couple of other projects are cooking, but I'm not really at liberty to talk about them. I have plans for a trip to Latin America this winter and have been practicing Spanish. Mostly I'm just keeping on keeping on. best wishes, sunshine p.s. Lady Pact - It is hard as can be to make the kind of change you are making. It is a great joy to hear this about your life. It was always one of those things that I had a hard time seeing about you in my head. I'm glad you're loving yourself in this way. It's inspiring (yep, even in the midst of rants and such, it's inspiring!).

Congratulations LP. Not an easy task to stop smoking, I know. david and I hit a rough patch there for a minute, but all has come right in the end. I consider myself lucky to have him in my life. Looking forward to boy toy's visit later this month. Always a joy to see him. A couple of months ago I started getting out in my community. I've met some really nice people, made new friends, and even overcame my nervousness to play publicly. Turned out to be easier than I thought it would be. smiles

Just stopping by to say hello to the folks here. I'm ready for the summer to end and welcome September with a glass of hard cider and hopes for some cooler weather. On a personal note...I'm in a holding pattern in so many ways. Not necessarily bad, but with a mind to the positive change can bring. That being said, I've been enjoying the attentions of a lovely submissive individual, my darling M, for a little over 7 months now and we're both looking forward to what the future holds for us. Sunshine, I feel the exact same way about working out, I have never seen a muscle in my arm, ever...and now I have one. I walk around like Brian from family guy when he was on steriods; just showing people my little molehill I have built up! lol But back to the topic...things have been absolutely wonderful here. I have been slacking on my cardio, due to traveling. I know that isn't an excuse but damn it's in the way,lol. Work has been wonderful, I head out of town every weekend and get back on Sundays. Which I gotta say, I miss talking with everyone while I'm gone. I never have time to get on the computer. We are planning to go to the Vampire's Ball in October. Excited about that. Family is doing wonderful. Everything is good in my world! Oh congrats LP for quitting!!

Not to take the roll call off topic, but I thought I should answer this. The thing that you are seeing in convenience stores probably isn't what I'm using. This vapor pipe thingy (that's My technical term) allows Me to get the nicotine without putting the crap in My lungs. The other benefits are those habitual issues that a lot of smokers have. Those being the oral fixation and something to do with My hand. (Gee, that sounded dirty, didn't it?) The best thing going was being able to kiss My non-smoking submissive and not think about tasting like an ashtray. Yeah, that was pretty cool.

In the last 8 weeks, I've went from smoking a pack of cigarettes a week to a cigar every now an then (and never before 8pm). I got a vapor thingy years ago, but mine keeps getting clogged and/or drowning, so I've pretty much given up on it ages ago. Too bad, I liked all the flavors, but it was too much of a hassle.

My congrats LadyP on kicking the habit!! A friend of mine is using the e-cigarette and she said it's working great for her. My life is so good right now I can hardly believe it!! [sm=cheering.gif] It's been about ten months now since I realized I'm a Domme rather than a switch and now I'm finally really comfortable with it. At first there were some rough spots but they've smoothed out. My ex-Dom is finally treating me as a person rather than his submissive and, now, we've managed to stay casual friends from a distance. My new long-distance D/s relationship with my sub is working great. We're in touch via IM daily, telephone weekly, and we see each other in person every two months. The more we find out about each other, the more we both like it. [:)] I finally figured out why my pants are so loose. I've lost fifteen pounds since January and I'm not even trying. Congrats to NBMG for losing weight! and Lady Pact for quitting smoking!! As for Me, things in My world are lovely and busy... My two oldest are back in school, so that means life is full speed ahead with dance practice, karate, gymnastics, swimming...on and on... My youngest two are just babbling and growing like weeds! Me and My submissives are doing wonderfully- although every now and then there are some kinks to work out. (no pun intended) I am starting to take a shibari class (next week) so I can master the art, instead of making little knots here and there... I am very excited about that. Classes (MA- Sociology) just re-started for Me, but this time I have slowed down My pace, so life isn't so "hurried" and I can enjoy life a little more. I am looking forward to fall and the changing of the seasons and of course Halloween! I simply love Halloween! Mistress Kaiel

Settling down in Wisconsin. No negatives so far. Well one big one. I miss my friends in Michigan. They will get over it. Got a lot of little things to do. I have to become a citizen all over again. On the bright side Im meeting a lot of women who dont know me. (grins) Found a fishing spot I can walk to.

On Sabbatical in California~ All the painting daily continuing mostly in Concord just now, with welcome occasional breaks and a quick trip Home last week to sort out & torment My Primary who's keeping our Kittehs happy. I built a cat pole! Actually in negotiations for 2 commissions and am working steadily on ramping up My powerpoint portfolio! Attempting to schedule time to meet/interview potential subjects, hope at least one will be suitable for modeling too. Then back to My Studio in Mariposa again by mid September. End of October should be time to bring My body of work back to Olympia and get it in a show/gallery, luck needed! Always the Lady ~ Always Wikked

Slowly losing weight, dealing with Lizard and getting ready for the county fair. Congrats on quitting, LP. I gave up over 25 years ago and of course I gained weight. Obesity runs in the family so I blame my genes. Now if I can quit shopping on Ebay. I ordered a few books on world mythology in the past 2 days for my collection. Though I am paganistic, I ordered a bible on the first and am reading it, a few chapters a night. Just something to do. I also got a Koran in my collection. I am thinking of getting my chaplain certification but then I still cuss like a sailor so I would not be a good example...LOL! Imagine a reverend with a collection of raunchy romances...

What's new in your world? glad to see that as far as this update goes all is going well and give it time you and MP will figure it out and all i have to say is clip hang in there and all remember from what i was told the original owner or lead owner is the one the slave is to follow now if this is becomming a joint ownership of clip well then its the make compromise time is where we stand and it will be rough but it will work out in the end. Congrats for that. for the smoker like me that wants to keep on smoking but wants only nicotine and cut the other crap ciggies have in them out an ecig is the way to go cuz all they are is nicotine filter tips with flavors. My suggestion is go get a blu from walgreens then go online and by your tips 10 cartons at a time. i love vanilla, menthol, cherry, pina colada, and peach schnapps by them. what ever you do dont let your blu out of your sight ive lost 2 because of that and am working on affording a third but managed to all the times still keep my tips that were extra from getting lost WOOOHOOO.
