I think the OP may have been using the second definition while most others may be using the first. Fair enough There can frequently be disagreements about how a word is used.

However, I think the OP has a legitimate gripe. He didn't come on here, asking people to bow down (well, he's a submissive) and in a way, his thread is for "wank fodder" but not in the sense that we see other times. He's asking for ideas about helping him and his wife transition from 'nilla (probably her preference) to kink (seemingly his). She's not a dominant but she's willing to indulge him in some things if they make it a game.

One poster said that he wasn't speaking with the "woman's voice". Tough to do. He's not her. According to the OP, she's not very comfortable with WIIWD and he's looking for help with ways to make it more comfortable for his wife. It sounds to me like he is thinking about his wife in this instance since he's not running off and paying some pro domme and leaving his wife at home.

While I think no one was trying to be mean to the OP, I can see where he might have felt that his intent was disrespected if you go by definition two.

I think a lot of people get messed up in the difference between courtesy and respect. However, even courtesy goes both ways. I can have very little of either one when someone specifically goes to be mean and spiteful to another member here via email.

Michael, regardless of how the OP took it, my post was not meant as a joke. I did however forget that his wife wasn't into it, when I said pegging for him. Coin flipping can be all kinds of fun. The nasty gram I received from him though, tells me everything I need to know.

Please understand that I was unaware of the offending e-mail when I typed my post. I lost two fingertips on my right hand some years ago and typing is more a marathon than a sprint for me. Now, while my post certainly didn't take 25 minutes of actual typing, I have some other things going on around the house (Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi MUST be consumed, while sitting at the keyboard, etc.) so, I promise I was ignorant of the breach of protocol.

Except when I'm out, at a restaurant, and when I am enjoying some chocolate chip cookies, it's about all I drink.

I rarely get the cans but found a sale, yesterday: Five 12-packs for $12 (That roughly translates to 10 2 litre bottles for $12 or $1.20 per bottle which is cheap. I pay $2.29 per bottle, normally)

So sorry. Maybe if you didn't come across as being a slave to it, then people might have given your idea more thought. As it was, seems like you pretty much just wanted to get off, most strangers to you aren't interested in helping you with that. So, not only are you bringing up your personal stuff to random strangers, but you are doing something with your wife that she doesn't want to do. That's cool between the two of you if she digs it, you dig it. Rock on. However, you have already found the answer to your question via google.

Responses like the disrespectful, intolerant ones above is what gives true lifestylers and true BDSM a bad name.
