I am stuck in the middle somewhere...pretty knowledgeble in the ways of bdsm, plenty of experience being part of a bdsm community, yet lacking in much experience being a sub/slave to a Domme and relationships in general. Gets tiring just watching others and attending the discussions meets after awhile without any experience to back upon.

For my relationship intent, a submissive does not need experince in order to be my submissive.  What he does need is self awareness to understand what it is he wants/needs in order to be fullfilled in life/with me.  If a man can successfully communicate that to me, and I find we are compatible in outlook, than I will gladly be his first domina.
As a matter of fact, few things annoy me more than being told "my previous 4 dommes required me to do/not do blah blah blah..."  M

It depends on the person.  "freshmeat" is ideal if you can work through the fantasy world they live in.  The downfall being once the reality hits them they often run for the hills and a Dominant has wasted a significant amount of time,  but if they stay then being able to mold them to your ways without having to break any previous habits is a lovely thing.  On the other hand with a submissive that has some experience they know for the most part what they are getting into already.  But as was stated before then you run into the my old Mistress did this or didn't do it that way so you still end up having to spend a lot of time breaking them out of how they think You are suppose to act and behave.  Both have their drawbacks and positivies equally.

If I am going to take on an inexperienced sub then I also have a reading list that they must read before it goes any further.  I believe this gives them a more realistic idea of what to expect and if they decide it is not for them.  Then know is the time for them to realize this not six months down the road.

Recent experience...

He was a friend, I was a mentor of sorts, we were close and caring.  We took it to the next level, and a few levels beyond.  He tried submission, and likes it, but only during play.  He's young (barely 23) and a late bloomer, just now going through that stage I went through at 15 where you find yourself and declare your independence, and has the teenaged smart mouth to go with it.  He just can't submit 24/7.  He feels like a failure because of it, and I feel frustrated as hell because I have serious feelings for him, but can't be happy with just a bottom.

His limit WAS submission.  The only way he could know is by trying it.  I served my role as mentor by helping him learn this, but it's been hard, I feel the loss of what might have been.  It makes someone more experienced look really good right now, "my previous mistress" aside (and I definitely hate that unless I'm asking specifically).

It is the person that interests me...not their experience or lack of.

Where I am in my desires, level of experience, and in the community as an educator, I don't have the time nor inclination to take on a complete novice. I prefer someone have at least some experience, and to show me that their interest and investment in kink goes beyond their dick or the little fantasy scenes that play in their head.

greeting to all

dear i must say this it does not matter at all as long as the submissive or slave is real and not a fake service and being good is al that counts
