One of the reekier aspects of the committee was
anti-semitism. The first three big name
actors they went after John Garfield,
Edward G Robinson and Paul Muni were
all Jewish. Garfield had a heart condition
and the hounding he took was thought
to have contributed to his death from
a heart attack.
Robinson who had done nothing other
than make donations for relief efforts
survived but had to endure being
hounded while going through great
personal hardships in his personal
life. His wife was mentally ill and his
son had a drug problem.

And of course Nixon first popped his
malevolent self onto the public stage
via the committee and stirring up slander
against Helen Douglas. She's the one
who first pinned the nickname Tricky
Dick on him.

What can it be to make Chuck Norris and his lovely wife, to say it will be { 1000 years of darkness} this is a quote from
his mouth! If President Obama wins this coming election!

Chuck Norris has been one of my favorite actor and he has always spoke with clear mind, at least until now!

I would venture to guess that up until now, he cared if he ever worked in hollywood, again. There are people out there that are conservative that know that they will never get another job, if they state their political views, publicly.

Hollywood is and has been controlled by socialists/communists since the 40s (at least) and they have their own version of blacklisting. Poor Charlie Chaplin fell victim to it; a great talent that wouldn't toe the party line and as a result, lived out his life like he had wet leprosy.

The kinder, caring left mutilated him. Chuck obviously no longer cares if he ever gets another job again and is therefore free to speak his mind.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Wow, what a fantasy.

Apparently you missed the McCarthy Era.

And is supportive, of the lunatics....... who want to bring it back.

Just imagine what his 'inquisition'...... would look like?

Who who be it`s victims and what would be their crimes.......their, 'thought crimes'....?

And how would the 'thought criminals'...be punished?

What to see what anti-Americanism and what anti-freedom looks like?

Take a look at McCarthy and his present gop ilk.

Question.......why must the whacko-right resort to blaming the world for their rejection and for their failure to sell their dogma?

Even with their own network they can`t seem to muster much more than childish name calling and whining.

Why don`t chuck and Bo Dereck and Clint Eastwood produce their own conservative based/non-"Hollywood" programming and make their own money and their own livings that way?

I`ll even wish them well.

You know... I did a little checking. Chuck Norris really doesn't need Hollyweird at all. He has a very successful martial arts franchise because he really is an expert martial artist, book sales, movie and television royalties, advertisement royalties, etc. He's on the board of several charitable organizations and has even founded at least one that I'm aware of. At one time he was also an honorary policeman, and still acts as a spokesman for a couple of police organizations (I don't know if he is still an honorary policeman).

Chucks a pretty happenin' dude!

Norris is also a religious man, and a devout Christian. That 1000 years or darkness bit is from the Bible. As an atheist, I think this bit of hyperbole is a bit over the top, but I tend to think that people like Chuck Norris succeed because of who they are, not who their holy man wants them to be. I think they are actually good people in spite of their beliefs, not because of them. I happen to agree with him politically anyway but, even though I disagree with Chuck Norris and his belief in imaginary friends, I respect his opinion much more now than I would have otherwise.

I'm willing to forgive Mr. Norris's religious perspective more than I am willing to forgive Barry-O's leftist ideology.

Wait a sec, Hollywood is controlled by communists since at least the 40's as evidenced by their blacklisting of communists?

Is this confusing anybody else?

Watching the branding of everyone who isn't a right wing extremist as a communist I'm beginning to think that he didn't miss it, he's just in time.

Only in the USA would anyone a) as did DaddySatyr, use the phrase 'communist/socialist' as though they were the same thing b) call Obama a 'leftist' and c) react to Norris's quasi-religious barking with anything other than embarrassment. As an actor, even bloody Ronnie Reagan would look like a towering colossus of the thespian arts next to him . Let's face it, the man is just a washed-up, bearded berk, Dave.
