I grew up in a white collar, upper-middle class neighborhood, so I knew an awful lot of people that applied to those schools. People that had a 4.0 GPA while taking nothing but honors and AP classes, while also doing sports, band, debate team and volunteer work, had a 1500+ on their SAT scores (ETA: when it was out of 1600), and were National Merit semifinalists. Don't tell me those kids weren't smart - but they weren't smart enough or special enough to get into Harvard.

No, everybody doesn't know that. This thread is the first time I've ever even seen that accusation made, and I don't see any evidence for it presented. I think she seems like a pretty decent candidate, if too hard-hitting to get much financial support, but I'm not anywhere near her district so I haven't really been following her campaign closesly.

It sounds like they were extremely smart and very educated,...all without having gone to college.
The only claim to fame that Harvard has is that it's the (oldest) university in the U.S.
If you were to go to say,...the University of Maryland or Johns- Hopkins for law or medicine you'd be just as qualified as anyone who went to Harvard or Yale, would you not?
I mean do you people think that Harvard teaches their M.D.s some special ((("secret tricks"))) that no-one else knows about?

And when various Native American groups went to her home in Cambridge she wouldn't even open the door for them!
They stood out on the sidewalk with the Cambridge, Mass Police as their hosts! What kind of a person does something that?
I'm just amazed at the excuse makers who come out of the woodwork for her! But, there are plenty of women who want to marry serial killers.
What if I came in here and claimed to be Native American? My buddy (biggest fan) Thompson would rip me a new asshole!

And if I put that on a job application and got caught lying on a *federal affirmative action program* I'd get a little visit from the F.B.I., wouldn't I?
I had an uncle who was a Navy doctor in WW2. He patched up Sailors and Marines in the South Pacific on a hospital ship. He was from Grand Isle, Nebraska and did all his training in Nebraska.
He went on to become a pathologist in Contra Costa co, California, was a teaching M.D. and won all kinds of awards and accolades.
It was *real nice* hearing him describe "posts" at the dinner table!
He worked for the D.A. and also had his own practice doing biopsies etc for other doctors and had a reasearch branch as well..
And that's all from going to the uni of Nebraska.
What a slacker, he should have gone to "Harvard".
