A black security guard was watching the speech on one of the TVs in our gym; he was riveted. That made an impression on me. I thought of all the other black Americans in the US watching Obama on TV and taking in the moment like it was magic.

The thing that continually strikes me about Obama is his calm and good nature; he's grounded and he's optimistic. He inherited the biggest pile of shit of any President since Roosevelt, and although he's aged, he's weathered the storm remarkably. The only mud the right can sling at him is that he's a socialist, a Muslim, or an illegal immigrant. Because all of that reeks of desperation, the Republicans are trying to tag him with the deficit. Its a really sad tactic given their own history of profligacy.

Foreign correspondents from France and the Ukraine were asked to give their impression about the difference between the REP and DEM conventions, and each said the DEM convention was strikingly diverse and the REP convention was a sea of middle aged white people. Subrob, Popeye, the Heretic, and Sanity were present and cheering for Romney like the four horsemen. White middle-aged guys all.

Show me where I cheered Romney's speech... Please.

Better than Romney repeating the failed policies of Bush which caused the recession and all of that unemployment

Swerve.
Yeah Mike, Obama's "experiments" to come up with more jobs have worked so well over the last 43 months haven't they?
Remember when he counted temporary census jobs but "forgot" to subtract them when they expired?
You REALLY should sign on as an Obama excuse maker for his last few months.

Well that's easy, just get rid of Obama and those bills and more will be passed!
He really isn't a "uniting" figure.
Lots of people just don't like him.

Get rid of Obama and those bills won't even be made let alone passed.

Don't bullshit me.

It won't happen anyway. Romney will never be president.

Why get rid of a president who's trying to fix this country? I think the real answer is to get rid of the congress who's working against the good of the country...or should I say to spite the president.

You cant unite haters, mental midgets, ignorance, bigots, birthers, racists, the paranoids, the selfish the blind or the stupid. That is THEIR issue and THEIR fault.
Just as an aside
Reuters/ Ipsos say on saturday
The latest daily tracking poll showed Obama, a Democrat, with a lead of 4 percentage points over Romney. Forty-seven percent of 1,457 likely voters surveyed online over the previous four days said they would vote for Obama if the November 6 elections were held today, compared with 43 percent for Romney.
Gallup says, today Election 2012 Trial Heat: Obama vs. Romney.....Among registered voters 49% to 44%

for those who delight in the polls

Still only a partial solution. After all, that Congress was quite deliberately sent there, in a massive mid-term statement, to do exactly that.

Maybe the real answer would be to round up all those Americans who disagree, and ship them off someplace where they won't get in the way?

How about if we just restrict all of the President's golfing/bowling/basketball partners to Congressional Republicans, until he figures out they they all have to find some sort of common ground for any of them to do their jobs?

Meh....

Mid-terms always go to the opps` party......and still......the people chose to keep the government in dems hands....

And the crop of loons who were voted in are pretty much going to lose ya`ll the next election....

Win-win......

You forgot "global warmers" (or whatever they're calling themselves this week.)
