irishbynature -> Condoms (6/12/2006 7:12:36 AM)

I have read that lambskin condoms do not prevent STD's..etc, etc...has anyone experimented as to whether they are more pleasurable than Latex condoms? (Just curious..thanks!)

FloridaISIS -> RE: Condoms (6/12/2006 7:50:46 AM)

Never tried them, but everything I've heard about them says they don't prevent STDs. I do believe you just rinse and reuse from what I read years ago. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe they are supposed to be more comfortable, but can't say for sure.
I'm curious to learn what others experience has been with them, as they'd be a nice possible alternative to use in a monogamous relationship.  Might have to Google it and see if they prevent preganancy; I can't remember if they do or not?

My Master and I have used them in the past (in between kids since we didn't want me back on the pill) and we both did find them more pleasurable than latex ones (and we both HATE condoms).  As you said though, they do nothing to prevent the transmission of STD's, they only prevent pregnancy, so they're not recommended for use with someone other than a monogamous partner that you know is clean.

And no, I wouldn't recommend rinsing and reusing them.  You need to use a new one each time.  Rinsing them would wash off the spermicide and with reuse you risk tearing.

Re-use?
Eww...LOL..never. Just curious to know if they were "more pleasurable" than latex.....Thanks

Good to know. I remember reading that at least 10-15 years ago that they could be reused. Aren't they rather costly? From the article I read yrs back the main attraction was they were reuseable. I had no idea lambskin condoms came with spermicide.
I learned something new today.
Only wish they'd make more large size condoms with spermicide, but that's another thread in itself.

Trust me makes me ill too thinking about that prospect, but honestly I read that many yrs back that you could reuse them. I believe because they we're stronger and held up better than latex.
Condoms are definitely not reuseable in my book, but I know I read that ages ago, and thought ick.

Hum, tell us more about this? LOL....j/k.

Yes, they make newer lambskin Trojan ones, about 14 bucks or so for 12 (i think). Not that I run around condom shopping...LOL, but I was curious to get a male's perspective.

I never, ever, EVER even thought of re-using a condom!  I also don't save my chewed gum for later, re-use my floss, share my toothbrush, etc.

I'm going to go wash up now!

irishbynature -> RE: Condoms (6/12/2006 10:14:44 AM)

LOL REX...I agree..but my OP wasn't about 're-using' anything...I have no idea how that got into the thread..[:o] If you look back...it was to get the opinion of males who had used them (lambskin condoms) as opposed to latex; and what they thought about them as opposed to..yadda, yadda...etc.... That was all, smiles...Irish

Hello,
I am Mortie of      Mort's 'SAFE' laundry service...................

Perhaps I can be of assistance, here?

Natural condoms are generally made of sheep intestine.

Simply rinse them out, suff them with pork sausage and tie them off.

Viola!  You have real british 'bangers' for your breakfast.

LOL

jezzabelle -> RE: Condoms (6/12/2006 11:34:45 AM)

Ewwwwwwwwwwww to making bangers and mash out of them [:'(]  (I already knew what the condoms were made from, lol)

mnottertail -> RE: Condoms (6/12/2006 11:48:33 AM)

well, as a slip of the lip (I am sure) irish said lambskin.  Now that would fit like a glove...........lol

I crack myself up.

Please keep in mind that condoms may help but do not prevent the transmission of HPV and herpes.

You're absolutely right, of course.  Ahem...

While all condoms suck, they are frequently a necessary part of a safe sex regime.  Neither is proof against disease, and both have issues regarding their likelihood of developing a tear.

Latex can be made to be more durable, but is less comfortable by far.  My personal experience is that lambskin is more comfortable (i.e, it doesn't kill absolutely ALL sensation) but very delicate.

Therefore, when necessary, I use latex.  Of course, it's hard to find them in really, really big sizes so I often have to make due with a weather balloon.....

LordAriakis -> RE: Condoms (6/12/2006 3:56:30 PM)

Since lambskin condoms are organic, they're biodegradable. Washing them (especially with soap) seriously reduces the strength and durability. They already aren't effective  against std's so that just makes it worse. and that bangers comment had me dying laughing

ShreveportMaster -> RE: Condoms (6/14/2006 12:07:37 AM)

 irish,
lambskins are slightly less sucky than latex, but quite honestly ALL condoms royally suck.
They seem to exist primarily to eliminate all the lovely sensations that are the whole (hole!) point of getting into a girl's warm wet places to begin with. The one and only time I can recommend a condom, of any type, is if the fellow in question has a really fast trigger, then they would be just the ticket.
BTW, used condoms are for cheap fuckers! [8D]

                                            I wish you well,
                                                                       Shreve
