It makes sense absolutely with the autistic population to cut down on sensory distractions. We have to keep our fingernails short too so they don't poke people when we work with them, lol. I miss having pretty fingernails, but it's a small price to pay for being able to do cool stuff like fix people. Lol, I have to remember to cut them every weekend or I'll catch hell in the lab on Monday from our teacher. I never really liked the crackle look, not sure why. Or the matte finish. Loooooove painting my toenails though, they're always pretty. Right now I have on a mint green frost and its gorgeous!

Crap, I had to google those and now I'm in deep lust. I have so many bottles already I was trying not to buy any new. Maybe I'll make a deal with myself to toss some older ones so I can get those OPI glitters, gosh they're pretty!

OPI lasts forever!! I have bottles that are 12 years old. The only thing is the old bottles take a lot longer to fully cure. EBAY.

Is 2cm from root to tip long enough? That's the current length of my longest one and it's been longer. I don't currently use mine on subs though and have no idea if I will. Mine are mostly used as guitar picks.

I love OPI, when I was in school that was all we used. Our instructors would get us the new ones when they came in. I didn't like the Niki Manaj one though. Oh, and I like y'alls rings, and nails.

I love my long nails and the crazier ornate things that could be done to them. It could be cultural lol But I've always chopped them off when a "sub" expresses interest in them being used for their masochistic fantasies. That's just the kind of spiteful sadist I am.

Greetings Ladu Hibiscus If you like purple glitter you should try StarGazer 308, it is a deep blackish purple with tons of glitter in it. I envy you all your ability to keep your nails long and polished. My lifestyle, especially my job, makes it impossible. Polish is a one day event and mostly worn off the tips by the end of the day. Fortunately I have healthy nails and can keep them about 1/8 inch (the white tips) at least, with regular trimming and filing so that they are useful. If they get much longer they are prone to getting caught in the cutter, (had a guy nip the end of his finger off in it once) or stitcher. (another guy once ran a staple through his finger). Perhaps when I get another job I can go back to polishing more than my toes! Even those are usually covered. (OSHA rules)

I got Mine done today, which isn't always easy where I live. I think they look great, but I suck at the pic thing. I was thinking of you on the way home today, LaT. So many great photo opportunities.

Awww thank you! It's nice to be thought of. This morning I was sitting on my east porch, watching the dogs play in the orchard and drinking coffee. Had a beautiful view but it really is a lot more.....subtle. And difficult to capture the essence on camera at times. The exact turquoise blue of the sky, the hint of purple in the fog wafting through the low areas. My eyes see it but when I photograph it, even with my camera and the latest greatest software.......it often escapes me.
