I'm relatively new here. No sooner did I set up my profile and I was inundated with emails by people that can't comprehend the written word. So, I changed my profile as to get right to the point, and, guess what? I was inundated with more emails by people that can't comprehend the written word. Things finally calmed down enough where I can start spending some time in the forums to get to know people and have people get to know me. So, hello everyone. I'm a Domme. I have had a 24/7 subby for many many years. I'm bisexual and have a healthy relationship with a woman, and a healthy (vanilla) relationship with a man. No, they are not a couple. They know of each other. Have met each other. But they keep their distance from one another. Why mess with a good thing? Anyway, hope to get to know people here. Sonia

Hi Sonia,

Ya, the first 30 days are pretty crazy here. I'm grateful for the inability to comprehend the written word because it makes the screening process ever so much quicker. I'm surprised I haven't worn out my delete key. That said, I have meet some great people from the CollarMe side of the site and remain optimistic that my local, single, no minor children, liberal Democratic, organic, recycling, articulate, well read, experienced kinky sadist yogi is out there. (Oh dear, I'd better change some needs to wants :)

I liked what you said in your journal about those who are already collared, whether they know it or not.

Keep the crazy messages that make you laugh, and gleefully delete and block the rest.

If you lower your expectations to the point that you expect none of them understand the written word, you'll be joyful over the ones that do. :)

Welcome, my dear, and worry not, your pitiable experience is par for the course. While the number of cretinous posts you get may lessen in time, rest assured, you will continue to get them. It's part and parcel of the online deal, like it or not. To some degree you'll get used to it, but if you're anything like me, you'll continue to keep shaking you head from side to side, and wonder, "What the hell planet did this lunatic come off of?!!!

Save the really inane ones, 'cause every now and then we share some of the nuttier ones, which both exasperate and humor.

You'll be alright, dear. I know it's a bit creepy at first but like it or not, there's no way to stop it, so you kind of get used to being Quick draw Mcgraw, quickly deleting posts and blocking profiles. Your skin will thicken up in time.

Know this ahead of time, and be prepared, that the majority of males contacting you will be illiterate, inarticulate, insensitive, and emotionall and socially inept. Then there's those that are totally depraved, and will write you something that'll make you want to puke, usually only for the shock effect it will have on you, or in actual hopes you'll do what they ask of you.

Finally, about 1% of them, if you're lucky, will have a brain in their head, and a heart in their chest, but still you've got to vet them carefully, for many lie, exaggerate and/or manipulate. Some of them are REALLY pros at this.

I hope this hasn't depressed you too much. I figured you'd be better off informed, so you can head most of this crap off at the pass.

If nothing else, you'll get a helluva education here, both from smart and nice people, as well as their counterparts. Good luck in making many true online and real life friends.
