I would think that HIS SIGNATURE enacting the legislation ( or veto) is 'involved', wouldn't you?

Yes, but we are talking a very small revenue per year here, and this is a fee rather than a tax.  It is just a "robo-signing", nothing of the utmost importance. My point was we can not blow tiny things out of proportion, let us look at major issues. This thing does not prove fiscal responsibility or vice versa.

So, you're publicly retracting your claims of him not being involved. It's good to hear that.

Of course, then you go on with a laundry list of excuses for his involvement. That's pointless. You've already admitted you were wrong, so there's no reason to twist around anymore. This issue is over and done.

No, in RAW dollars

How ridiculous. A meaningless measure to pretend to make a point.

A 1968 dollar would cost $6.50 in today's dollars. Anything compared to 1968 costs has to be adjusted by a factor of 650%, or it's not comparing comparable costs.

While it's technically true in "raw" dollars (by which you seem to mean nominal dollars), it's a truth that's just a silly point. Like saying if the decimal points were in different places, the numbers would be different, so without adjusting for decimal points, it's not true!

Use your head.

Why discuss this? During the past four years is Obama responsible for all that was or was not passed by Congress? He argues the bills passed were his but those not passed were because of Congress. Same is true for the governors. Can't have it both ways. Fact is neither a president nor a Gov. can pass any law. It is done by Congress.

As for having to sign or veto bills, it actually is not necessary. After a specified period of time most become law with or without a signature. Our Governor uses that when he dislikes a bill but knows a veto will be overridden.
