You know our side never had a problem with eliminating pre existing conditions, right? It's the mandate that's forcing everyone to buy insurance we want repealed.

Why should I have to pay for the health care of every fucker that's too lazy to buy insurance?
Wouldn't that be socialist that people are entitled to things that they refuse to pay for?

Why does it matter whether it was before or after? AFTER means that he has flip flopped on an opinion that he was elected for. If you must make the distinction, I believe that flip-flopping on the ideals that got him elected is much more important than the ones he flip-flopped on before he even ran for president.

C'mon, Tazzy, quit playing ignorant.

tazzygirl -> RE: Romney changes position on ACA (9/9/2012 8:17:27 PM)

Im not playing ignorant. I am seeing the man as he really is. He is so desperate to win this election that he will try to even change his message disregarding his own base and what they have wanted all along.

BIG difference between changing once reality hits and you are in office and realize the true limitations.. and changing to try and gain more votes.

Women want ACA. He wants the female vote.

Because that was what I asked in regard to the number of times Romney has flip flopped since he came up as a candidate, with regard to the ACA especially BEFORE he is elected, NOT having promises unrealised...for what ever REASON
there is a HUGE difference, and YES I am making that distinction....
Flip flop BEFORE election does NOT inspire ANY confidence and a great deal of confusion, let alone refusing to give details of his plans BEFORE he is elected...
Right wingers have bitched for two years and more about the ACA being voted on before being read...but suddenly everyone is silent about his lack of details on loopholes, a lack of position on the ACA
having the consistency of a vindaloo bowel action is not a good idea when you are looking to be a President.

Regardless, this IS before an election, so everything he's allegedly flip-flopped on falls into the same category as Romney's alleged flip-flops.

Unless you're a one issue voter.

You are a moron. How can you complain about the the debt and post this crap?

ShadowMasterTX -> RE: Romney changes position on ACA (9/9/2012 8:47:23 PM)

The problem is, the GOP thought that the war against the ACA would prove so an issue, that the offer to repeal it alone would win votes.

I see why some are upset by the "requirement" to have insurance, but in many ways, they already have it. A hospital, by law, can not turn you away of you have a life threatening issue. All this new insurance does is make sure people can get the rest of the care they need.

If you didn't require it, then emergency room treatments for the common cold would still be as poppular (and expensive) as today. In effect, making sure everyone has insurance, is a cost save. It increases the size of the overall pool of people, and guarantees healthcare, not prevents it.

Who is forcing you to buy insurance... Other than Obama? Are the republicans forcing you to carry insurance instead of paying out of pocket? If you don't understand the difference, nothing I type will matter.

You guys keep bringing up this Heritage plan... Tell me, was the plan ever voted on? Presented in a bill? Signed by the President? Fought in the courts?

If you answer no, the point is moot. Proposals don't matter, the laws on the books are the only thing that matter.

And the ACA law is legal.

Next.
