It's not easy to find likeminded souls when you're not part of a local "scene". And sometimes I need a friend who gets this part of me—the side that lives mostly in secret, in tenuous balance with my life as vanilla wife and mother, respected professional, and all-around good girl. So here's to making some real connections.

Welcome! I'm fairly new also and came for the same reason. It does help talking with others who have the same interests...well, it's helped me a bit.

I LOVE your username :)

Have you checked out the BDSM booklist? http://www.collarchat.com/m_1726118/tm.htm

I see you are in NY - what's keeping you from your local scene?

Welcome!

KK

I would imagine it would be the same thing that keeps me out of the local scene kalikshama......an unaware partner

Booksandbruises, I live in the houseboat right next door to you. If you want to chat while the kids are at school, just let me know.

Welcome to the forums!!!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, everyone. And yes, YDD, you're exactly right--vanilla marriage, unaware spouse, complicated situation, check, check, check!
