I saw a post about condoms - didn't want to take over the thread.
I am looking to ask people what are their favourite brand/make/type of condom male and /or female?
Are there any particular 'flavour' you like?
A brand you find safest?
A brand that brings most intense pleasure - male or female?
How about dental dams?
 
What do people recommend?
(I placed it here, rather than H&S because I am really interested in the pleasure aspect, rather than the safety)

In general I use trojan lubricated with spermicide.  For special times, I use durex extra sensitive.

I don't use female condoms, I find their price, limitations and discomfort to be prohibitive compared to the male condom.

When my owner and I were still using condoms we liked the polyurethene because it conducted a bit more warmth than regular condoms which he found more pleasurable.  I can't say there's a particular type of female condoms we preferred, they were so expensive we just took the free samples.  But he really liked those because he or I could put the female condom in... walk around and do shtuff then he could take me at his leisure.

Edited to add: we never used dental dams, instead incorporating mummification before oral sex worked better... and in terms of condoms for oral sex there was no particular label I preferred, I just liked the strawberry flavored ones.

I personally like Trojan's "Twisted Pleasure" brand.

Muchas gracias- I've gotten a lot of responses to it, some very emotional, both positive and negative.  While I abhor long and drawn out sig lines, and find having two to be pushing the edge of tolerance, it has the right edge of reality/irony/amusement that I love so much, so I couldn't resist.

Status: offline 		Himself and I don't use condoms between ourselves as we have no need for them. If either one of us are using something to be inserted on a bottom, we do ask they provide their own toys. If they can't we'll cover toys with Durex because of all the pretty colors and the nice scents.

I'd just like to take a moment to publicly acknowledge that I absolutely adore Himself.

Status: offline 		We use Trojan unlubricated, because I'm allergic to both spermacide and the lubricant used on most condoms. This is begining to be a problem, though, because they are too small for my Owner, and rather hard to put on.

Out of curiosity, can anyone recomend a brand that comes in -both- large and unlubricated?

Status: offline 		I like the condoms with spermicide as added protection. Problem I run into is large condoms with spermicide are getting really hard to come by. I love Trojan Magnums, but I can't find them with spermicide.
Ramses used to make a large condom yrs ago with spermcide and those worked very well.
Durex doesn't work well for my partners, as even the XXL will not fit a man with more than avg girth.  Condom buying has become a pain in the arse anymore.

The last flavored condoms I bought were Durex, and they were lubricated...would love to know who the genius was that felt flavored condoms need lube. Bet he never gave a BJ
Anyone who knows of non lubricated flavored condoms please post, so we all can have an option.

As for the female condom, I've never used them, but had one partner ask me about them.  Seems they are expensive. Do they make them with spermicide?  

I'm finding one has  to spend about  $20  to even have safe sex: $12 for condoms and about $15 for spermicide. 

I was in the local Albertson's (grocers) wanting to buy condoms, and they had them locked onto the racks with a little alarm that goes off if you try to take them. (GMAFB)  The pharmacist had to call someone to the aisle; I waited 10 mins and no one showed. Guess Uncle Sam really is watching us.

you may want to give this site a look. Even if you don't order online, you can get an idea of manufactuers who carry unlubricated large condoms.
This site also does made to fit orders. They send a "fit kit" and guess you print it out and measure the member. I am not sure if they take girth into consideration, but supposedly they have 55 different sizes, so they say.

They need to make condoms for  big 10's with some darn spermicide.


I'm curious as to how well the dental dams work, and if one gets much sensation using them?  One Dom friend of mine told me his girl friend used to get the from work; she's a dental hygientist. Other than the dentist or ordering online does anyone know where else to purchase denal dams?
It would be nice to be able to give that option to future partners; although, I've never had a guy show any concern about it yet. Also, I think most of us have heard about using Saran wrap as a dam. Anyone have luck with that, and I'm thinking porosity could be an issue, so safety might be compromised?  I somehow don't think it'd be too safe, but anyone in the health field might know.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that pregnancy tests and condoms were among the most frequently shoplifted items from stores. That's probably why they were locked up.

I'll see if I can find the link to the article though it's been a good long while since I read it.

I can understand why they would lock them up. School is out down here, and many of the teens have been hanging out by this store, and they have even been trying to break into the store near the loading dock.  My uncle is a truck driver and has seen this when he's pulled up to the dock. Goes to show if it's not locked or bolted down the little hellions will take off with it.

That site is way nifty. So far,t hough, I'm still finding that big + non-lubricated seem to be mutually exclusive. Grrrrr. I'm allergic to most spermacide, which sucks. Though, I -thought- I was allergic to latex, which made for way more trouble. I'm glad it's just the spermacide

(random fact: according to planned parenthood, using a condom + birth controll only increases your protection against pregnancy by something like 1% Granted, it increases your protection against diseases by lots. Heh, sorry, the Owner is a bio grad student. And a shameless fact-whore. )

**I have not had an issue where they were not big enough, kinda thankful for that though. 
 
Unfortunately, I cannot tolerate the one's with spermacide due to allergies.
 
Thank you Isis, for that website. I want to find flavored condoms as well for I love to give oral but am always concerned about std's.

You're welcome. That site was shown to me by a sub about 3 years ago.  I love giving oral as well, and always fear STDs.  So many men expect oral, which is fine, but I've never had a guy yet hand me a condom before I went to work, so basically we women hold our lives in our own hands.  

Gets a bullhorn and starts a picket line outside of Durex--"read our lips: no lube on flavored condoms."  Knowing them, they'd want an upskirt shot

Status: offline 		I'm thinking I'd rather the kids steal the condoms then use nothing at all. I don't approve of stealing but I approve of unprotected sex, especially among those who are in that age group, even less.
