Here was the GOP 4 years ago complaining about the House Dems taking a 5 week break.. Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) shouted “Madame Speaker, where art thou? Where oh where has Congress gone?” Now, they plan a two month vacation, even if it means allowing vital programs to expire and working families to suffer. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,396322,00.html Here is the GOP today planning on taking a 2 month break so they can campaign..... http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2012/09/14/853431/house-republicans-plan-two-month-vacation-leaving-key-bills-awaiting-action/ House Republican Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) announced Friday that after next week, the House will stand in recess until November 13. So what do you expect? The Radicals aren't interested in dealing with real problems, especially since they created most of them. In a way it's a relief that they are out of DC where they can't do any harm. [sm=banana.gif]

3 weeks in session-2 weeks out. That has been their work schedule since the republicans took control of the House. And freshmen earn $174,000 for this. And the republicans call public teachers greedy.

You guys love shooting yourselves in the foot don't you? Shall we talk about unemployed Americans in the last 4 years? Or how about the TWO downgrades to our credit rating? Maybe we should talk about the amount of people on disability, and food stamps. Yeah keep whining about the republicans... We'll have to get used to it, not only are the R's gonna control congress, they'll have the White House too... Then the real hissy fits will begin.

Lets talk about unemployment What bills has the house passed to help curb the unemployed??? Why the tax breaks for moving your company overseas??? How many jobs were created under Bush????????????? Gee last six months in office we lost on average 300,000 jobs per month.......... The downgrades......you mean the ones where the GOP held America hostage.........................The House creates the bills...not the President... We should talk about the amount of people on food stamps and disability...with facts not BS talking points pushed by FAUX News...When will Willard talk about these issues, and his ideas for the country...oh that is right he will not until after he is elected...

Harry Reid chooses the bills that get voted on in the Senate... Without a vote in the Senate the bill doesn't make it to the President's desk... Let's both email Mr Reid and ask him how many House job bills he's ignoring. Oh yeah, here's Jesse Jackson calling Obama the Food Stamp President... Back in February. When did the primaries start again?

Lets talk about unemployment some more. Ever hear of the American Jobs Act? That was a plan the president sent to Congress that even many right wing economist said would put millions of people to work. And it was budget neutral. Obama sent it to the House over a year ago. Congress has not voted it down---They've refused to even have a vote on it.

There are TWO chambers in Congress, and BOTH have to vote and approve legislation before it can become a law. Why do you progressives keep turning a blind eye to the actions of the Senate? Could it possibly be because the Democrats hold the majority?
