FMRFGOPGAL -> "We're Done" the email from Breitbart.com read (9/16/2012 12:12:19 PM)

It seems Breitbart.com has decided to no longer delude it's readers that it's a republican tool and nothing more....
Well .. looks like the Breitbart crowd have dropped their phoney pretense of being "Jourrrrrnalists" and are now shamelessly hawking donations with absolutely no credible pretense of being in any way journalistic.
And I must also confess that I was tipped by a campaign intelligence specialist here on campus early last week that this in fact was going to happen.I went and subscribed on the Breitbart site so that I could collect a copy and use it in my weekly report.
The advance info I received was that Breitbart.com has steadily been losing value for the GOP and that in the weeks rolling out  to the election it might be more politically profitable to use them for direct funding appeals to the Christian Right as opposed to feeding them prurient news items that had ceased to have much impact on the audience.
So now the strategy is to chuck it all and plug directly for GOP Candidates who can't possibly win without money and strong support from the Christian Right. Here is the email they have begun sending out and it should be noted that every hyperlink on the email corresponds to the liink I have pasted in at the bottom and not even once to breitbart.com, despite the email's having originated from [email protected]. And yet, they are really just pinch hitting for the Akin campaign.
I doubt it will  have much impact here since I'm sure all of you good folks are too smart to have ever bitten on the Breitbart hook.

The Spam-O-Gram:

Friend,

Party boss and Washington insider John Cornyn today had two words for Todd Akin, and Missouri: We're done.

Rather than swallowing their pride and admitting they were wrong to not help Todd Akin, Party Bosses are doubling down.

Mike Huckabee, on the other hand, had this to say about the Washington Party Bosses:

They will turn their backs on Akin out of their arrogant pride because just as they were wrong about Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, they are being shown they are wrong on Akin? We need to rally every pro-life, pro-family, faith-based voter in America and tell them that the party obviously doesn't need them, but Akin does. If the party doesn't want us, then it's good to get that cleared up. I'll direct my time, money, and efforts toward candidates who will take a stand, and when they get elected, they won't be obligated to party bosses, but to God and their conscience.

Today, we are starting our most ambitious fundraising goal yet: $70,000 raised by Saturday midnight to defeat the $7 Trillion Dollar Senator Claire McCaskill.

We need all hands on deck. Todd needs you now. Mike Huckabee needs you now, and like Governor Huckabee said the Washington insiders and Party Bosses were wrong about Rubio, wrong about Rand Paul, and they're just as wrong about Todd Akin.

If the Party Bosses are done with Missouri, then guess what? We are DONE with the Washington establishment!

Our Moneybomb begins today. $70,000 by midnight Saturday.

Will you stand with Todd Akin? Or will you let the Washington Party Bosses and Claire McCaskill win?

Sincerely,

Perry Akin
Campaign Manager

Hmmm... It appears we now have three competing Radical parties: the Christian Radicals, the Tea Party, and the Neo-con Right. This isn't good, since it means losers like Akin will get at least some support where they had none before. At least Breitbart.com is being honest for the first (and likely only) time in their lives. I can't imagine being so consumed by hate and venom as these people must be.

Speaking of shameless hawking...

Yardsales for Obama... Really?
You really don't need that set of Calphalon for a wedding present... Do you?
And since this OP is all about so called media dropping the pretense that they are journalists, let's see another example.

FMRFGOPGAL -> RE: "We're Done" the email from Breitbart.com read (9/16/2012 5:26:09 PM)

I hava a far better idea subrob. Why don't you go back and read the OP so that you actually understand the premise this time? And maybe you can offer readers some kind of explanation as to how your two little tit4tattas links refute ANYTHING that I asserted in my OP.
Or are you hinting thay Daily Squalor will be the next FAKE NEWS to come out and `demonstrate their fraudulence too?

May I chime in with a bit of unsolicited advice? I hope so, since I'm doing it anyway.

For those of use with aging eyes, posts are a lot more likely to get read if they have spaces between the paragraphs.

Hmm, first you whine about Breitbart admitting they were slanted toward the right wing...
Then you gloated over the RNC bailing on Akin...

How is my comprehension doing so far?

Then you snicker at Breitbart's attempt to raise funds for Akin.
And finally you assume that there's a divide to be exploited between the GOP, and the Tea Party conservatives.

Now my links show that when it comes to fund raising, you can't get any lower than what the Obama team has come up with.
And the unashamed bias MSNBC has for Obama, which you want to ignore in your "gotcha, Breitbart is a biased GOP site" rant, than everyone already knew, and didn't give a shit about.

Your comprehension scores a big fat "F".
Show me where I 'gloated'. I reported that they had violated journalistic ethics, if anything I reflected a very appropriate disgust.

And they hung themselves. I didn't have to lift a finger.

And apparently you also lack major clues about the RULES of journalism. News Sources are NEVER supposed to raise funds for political partisans.

And face it subrob, your links were JUST ABOUT FUNDRAISING. You obviously don't understand what the distinction. Those examples are COMPLETELY irrelevant. I'd try to help you understand, but as in the other thread, you simply sink to the bottom.

To quote the Breitbart & Co "We're done". I'll leave you to nip at my heals unanswered.

Blah blah blah... Republicans bad, progressives good... That's all this post is... And if you weren't gloating, why bother posting this at all? It's clear that you never took Breitbart seriously before... Why the concern about their Journalistic integrity now?

Were you as concerned about CBS and Dan Rather? Or Chris Matthews and his tingle?

No, the only thing irrelevant here is this topic.

I think the very fact that some consider a random blog to be "The Press" is insightful. If they're that out of touch with reality, what's the point in engaging them about their delusions?

subspaceseven -> RE: "We're Done" the email from Breitbart.com read (9/17/2012 7:51:56 AM)

Well when the GOP needed them, they (Breitbart) where next to godliness, or have you forgotten how the GOP embraced his fake stories back in the 2008 election cycle, it is now as other blogs and news reporters point out how false their claims are that they are distancing themselves from them

For the record... I have never perceived breitbart.com as a real news outlet. They however continually represent themselves as such. The problem here is that over the years during and since the Internet's becoming "a" if not soon "the" purveyor of News and Information, a lot of falsity has piled on, so to speak.
You're not by any chance suggesting however, that breitbart & co are not regarded as "guerrilla news" or even legitimate journalism by the right wing blind adherents in this country. Are you?

subrob1967 -> RE: "We're Done" the email from Breitbart.com read (9/17/2012 1:00:38 PM)

I'm saying Breitbart is as legitimate as MSNBC, and now CNN

vincentML -> RE: "We're Done" the email from Breitbart.com read (9/17/2012 4:53:30 PM)

Holy shit! News sources are biased?
When did that begin?
Please, say it ain't so. [8|]
