Verticle is supposed to create more sensation, as it rides upon your clit. i'd think the hoop would not create the sensation you desired, or he desired.

Also....be careful that when masterbating that you don't accidently yank on it lol i did OUCH!! You have to relearn everything it seems...oh and be careful when shaving...lol

Well I know for me personally after a few months of one size jewelry you start to get immune to it being there all the time, so if i up the size of the ball or put a larger guage barbell in making it heavier it will start up the intense feelings again. you can also add dangly things if you want, but in all honesty i have pretty much kept the same one in now for months, some days its much more noticable for me other days not so much, guess it all depends how horny i am honestly. as for the cost i got mine done in oct 2004 and i believe i paid $60 for the piercing and jewelry (which i lost the ball 4 days later it wasnt tight enough, so i panicked and just put in a tongue ring i had till i could get another barbell in the size i needed) then i think i tipped the guy $10 or so, but i did alot of research before i got it and went to a place i found some great reviews on in Manhatthan.

Hey Gina, I'm planning to have mine pierced and I go to Manhattan pretty frequently, any chance you could send me a message on the other side with the name of the place so I could check it out?  I'm too much of a pussy (pun TOTALLY intended lol) to have this sorta thing done in my area...I know it's just a piercing, but the thought of anyone finding out irks me more than just a bit.  One day I'll start caring less about people 'catching' me doing things...but that day won't be tomorrow or next week so for now I have to do my 'shady' dealings far from home lol
