I'm curious as to what you see that makes the feminization of men so apparent? I ask this question seriously, and with an open mind. I'm willing to accept that its happening, but having asked this question a hundred times and having never gotten more than a hypothetical answer ... it's hard to even understand this position. Exactly what "masculine things" are you not able to do or have today, where you can attribute the lack thereof, specifically to feminization?

Some of the reasons found in the articles i read, (i can look up the links if anyone wants): 1. Development of men's magazines (like Men's Health) where its all about improving your body, being better at relationships and in the bedroom 2. Increased interest of men in vanity and appearance (like plastic surgery and fashion) 3. Books with strong female characters/by female authors garnering publishers interests more than any others 4. Feminine directed advertising (cars are not about "cool" anymore, but about safety and sophistication) 5. Feminization of movies (even shoot-'em up action films now a lot of times have strong love interests) 6. More women elected in political office, which means more focus on issues (abortion, family rights, etc.) generally important to women 7. Managers who are no longer encouraged to be hardnosed but nurturing and understanding of the employee 8. Introduction of things like flex-time and telecommuting (blurring the lines between the traditionally male workplace and traditionally female home) 9. Churches claim that a lower male turnout and involvement is because the church has turned into a women's social gathering less focused on the worship Just a few of the things i summarized from the articles. Mind you, i disagree that this is "feminization" and i disagree that this is necessarily a bad thing. i don't think that these are necessarily bad changes and certainly can't all be attributed to women wanting more equal rights. The country's dynamics will shift again and hopefully will find a balance in the middle where it isn't male-centric or female-centric.

It's not a matter of lack of choice, but one of behavioral influence. One can say feminist sway has had some positive conclusions for overall male behavior, and that is true to a point. But under the cudgel of political correctness and an overarching demand for equality between the sexes, the litany put upon the male through so many outlets is basically men can't, and men better not, and men should, and men shouldn't, simpleton, where for women it is increasingly an affirmational hymn in unison of we can, we're stronger, we're better, listen to us, stupid guys! What is apparent to me is the incredible organization of female advocacy and support in the contemporary age, compared to the near nonexistent one for that of the male. Perhaps it stems from the supposition that males don't need support outside of football fields and Maxim magazine, but I disagree. I think our attention to young boys is lacking, other than to drill into their heads that they must be "sensitive and understanding". I don't think we're teaching our males to be noble, self-respecting and honorable in the true sense. One need only listen to the myriad lamentations of young women who are attempting to date them to understand this. Ironically, the girls have a rather big point, too.
