I agree...don't be angry. Delete him completely out of your life and just never give him another thought. I personally don't do the whole angry, spiteful, bitter thing when something like that happens. I just erase him from my life like he never existed. To be bitter and angry means you are allowing him to still continue hurting you.

Next time, why not just tiptoe away without the never-satisfying "closure"? Try it, you'll like it.

If I found closure necessary, I would seek it through a therapist, not the one who co-created the situation that needs closure.

I always tend to find good closure in any one or combination of

Chocolate ( I mean seriously.......what doesn't chocolate help???)
Wine/Port ( A few toddies always puts shit into perspective)
Da smokable herb ( see previous reason)
Exercise (getting sweaty is good for what ails ya)
A good sappy movie (cuz if ya gotta shed a few tears you can blame it on the movie and/or wine)

Last but not least...........doing something nice for someone, especially someone in need that doesn't expect it.

How true. Because, if you need closure, the one who co-created this is the LAST person on earth to offer it. Sometimes we have to give ourselves closure.

Believe me, chasing after closure is like trying to catch a snowflake.

Good advice,
I can not say thank you enough. I did delete his number from my cell and did a reject call. At one point I was so much in sub frenzy over him I had typed word for word on my computer all text response and replies from him!! Not healthy!! I like the advice write 200 times I offer the best, I deserve the best among others offered here. If any of you who have been kind enough to offer support, advice can give me ideas of songs or music to listen to, it would be an enormous help!! In vanilla life when I ended a relationship, I would statr listening to those break up songs that say "I want you back" in the lyrics, and it is not helping. I mostly listen to country or classic rock but any suggestions are welcome!!

chatterbox24 -> RE: processing sadness (9/20/2012 7:40:33 AM)

I love Katy Perry but she isnt country of course, but her music empowers me. Like the song fireworks, I listen to that and Im like Oh yah I WIN WIN WIN.

but anything that talks about rising above would help thru a day.

Chocolate & orgasms. And running and orgasms.

For one, any time you find you're feeling wistful for a love or infatuation you've got to think "damn how cool. I can get as silly over someone as a teenager." So good for you. And then push yourself to get out of the rut and into things you love doing and make life fun. Force yourself to put it down. Cause fuck it, no guy is worth it.

When I want to feel empowered I go more for stuff like Lady Gaga. Adele has some awesome music also.

littlewonder -> RE: processing sadness (9/20/2012 5:31:19 PM)

When I was still emotionally hurt, I never never listen to sad breakup songs. Instead I listen to hard, fast, and blow him off type of music. I think one of my favorites is Love is a battlefield by Pat Benetar.

Pink rocks as well.
