The following lyrics express my nostalgia for the halcyon days of the Cold War. They should be sung percussively, with syllables chasing the beat, over a riff reminiscent of Egregio Maestro Chuck Berry.

while I was antedating waiting for another shoe to fall

While the man with bristle eyebrows in the suit without lapels
is telling gremlins in the Kremlin that it's time to pull the bells
In the revisionism schism certain heads are sure to roll
but if we fail to meet the quota we can modify the goal
But we cannot ignore the Gang of Four within the Group of Three
They threw a Communist Party and they disinvited me

with a case of stolen butter and an incremental smile
They were riling up the peasantry and cooking up the news
They were piling up the grievances and looking for a fuse
They detect an insurrection in the shadow of a trend
'cause it's a Communist Party and the party doesn't end
