I'm thinking of giving up the search for someone and getting a dozen of cats to entertain me and for who i would care about. It would be sooo much easier. Of course, cats i wouldnt be allergic too. Cost money, but buy happiness! Yay!

I live with my boyfriend and I still am much better off because I have a cat. I highly recommend them.

Getting a cat or two is a great idea, but a dozen? Think of all the time you would have to spend on scooping or changing the litter boxes for 12 cats! But definately two or three would be wonderful fun.

Depending on how much space you have, a dozen cats might be doable. I live in a single wide trailer (SO not my dream home, but it's what I can afford). I have 2 cats. So far, 2 boxes at opposite ends of the house seem to work. I am thinking of adding a third cat. Fortunately, the way the place is laid out would allow me to add a 3rd box without it being offensive to the two I now have. Rule of thumb: make sure you have enough space to allow one litterbox per cat (and that they are not all in close proximity). Other than that... YAY FOR BEING A CAT LADY!!! :-D

You live in a "MOBILE HOME" and you have TWO (2) CATS ! What a coincidence. I too live in a Mobile Home, but only have ON (1) Cat, unless you include the wife. HA HA HA Cats are great, but they aren'y worth a darn putting you in Bondage, or telling you what Kinky Things to wear or do. But they do have their drawing points. And my "Daughter", is a DADDY'S Girl, and sleeps between my legs (Very Vanilla), and rests her head on one of my legs. Talk about being spoiled ! I have to stay in the one position almost all night. I guess in a way, it is like Bondage ! Love my Fluffy and Bondage too, sub BalletBob Love

I started with one cat for my dog about 13 years ago, got 2 when I lost my dog and my kitty was going thru a mourning period for him, they were 2 of a litter of 4, got my 4th one in Arizona a few years ago, and acquired my youngest one just lat year here in Florida. It was never my intention to have 4 let alone 5, but it's the way things played out. Due to space constraints, I have 3 boxes, but it seems to work okay. They are my babies, and with the exception of Bitty, have been across the country with me. Each one of them have their own personalites, even the brothers. Squeaks is my little hugger mugger, Boo is my night time blanket, KB is my pain in the butt domly type, Moochie is my quiet one, and Bitty is the terror. Cats are good friends, and not at all standoffish....they are actually quite social creatures, but you need at least two.....only kitties are the ones that tend to be a bit aloof. And there's nothing more entertaining than watching kittehs at play. Or, if you're an ebil kitteh mommy like some of us are, give them some 'nip and then get the laser pointer out......you'll laugh so hard you'll pee! [:D]

12 might be a bit much. Becoming a crazy cat lady has always been my backup plan. However, you still need to be able to give them plenty of love & attention - afterall, cats have slaves, not owners. I am currently slave to 1 Maine Coon named Ruby. We are definitely considering adding 1 more in the next year or so.
