At the beginning of the Republican primary, I was despairing at Obama's inability to get Congress to cooperate and thought Romney might not be so bad if he was able to get consensus, and also thought of him as a Massachusetts Moderate, but then Romney started talking and I have completely lost any interest in him.

I'm with Bill Maher on low information voters. The relevant part starts at about 2:10

Bill Maher Slams Undecided Swing State Voters And The Media For Celebrating Them

In every election we have to consider the oh-so-important undecided and swing state voters, like this election's 5% of people who still don't know which candidiate they're going to vote for but can ultimately decide the election. On Friday night's "Real Time," Bill Maher kicked those undecideds right off their high pedestal and asked why the media gives low-information voters so much attention.

With less than two months until the election, Maher advises those who still don't know who they're voting for to "stay home" on Nov. 6, because they probably won't be able to find their polling places. He doesn't understand why undecideds such as "Octomom" Nadya Suleman are being celebrated or painted as more discerning than the rest of us when Barack Obama and Mitt Romney couldn't be more different.

"And that, in a nutshell, is America's celebrated, undecided voter: put on a pedestal by the media as if they were Hamlet in a think-tank, searching out every last bit of information, high-minded arbiters pouring over policy positions and matching them against their own philosophies. Please, they mostly fall into a category political scientists call 'low information voters,' otherwise known as 'dipsh*ts.'"

Watch the segment above to hear Maher's full analysis (starting around the 2:15 mark) as well as why Donald Trump offering voting advice to "Liberal Republican" Kim Kardashian (also undecided) is a microcosm of the 2012 election.

Here's the thing, Aswad.. I don't think I'm voting for evil at all.. just human and that is sort of a requirement for me, so Cthulhu is out. Not even going to bother vetting him. [;)]

Oh no....Letterman was far more important than Israel.

He had to be there.

The problem with people like Bill Maher and John Stewart (who, by the way are fucking brilliant...well...aside from Maher) is that they can sway opinion, so fast that you don't even know it's happening.

That's why it's soooooo important to read, listen, and not be swayed.

Make your own decisions....based on facts.

Not by opinions expressed by those you may respect (even from those you may respect here) but ....by...facts.

Facts are fantabulous things.

If you choose Romney (based on facts)...great stuff.

If you choose Obama (based on facts)...great stuff.

Don't let someone else tell you your opinion.

It's EASY to be swayed....it's COMPLICATED to think (fully...with all participating data included).

Data's important....opinions....suck.

LizDeluxe -> RE: Still undecided? (9/26/2012 5:34:11 PM)

I've decided that they are both losers and this is the worst choice we've been presented with in my voting lifetime. I have to admit I was very concerned when Obama was elected but that concern has not played out simply because he doesn't do anything. Yes, there's Obamacare and that is going to be a nightmare as it plays out but relatively speaking he's been largely an inactive president. What gains have been made by the economy have been natural healing of the marketplace and unrelated to any action on his part. I won't vote for him but if he is re-elected we can probably withstand another four years of no action on his part if the rest of the world doesn't turn on us in the meantime.

Romney... I just don't trust him. I think he's in it for him (just wants to be president) but the same can be said about Obama. BO is the most arrogant and narcissistic president ever to hold the White House. Hard to believe that in a nation of hundreds of millions of people these two goons are what we have to choose from. Muse made more sense than either of these guys... oh wait. He quit. Never mind.
