Hello my name is Justin and i am new to the BDSM Lifestyle, i have been very interested in it over the last few years and have finally decided to dive in but i am not sure where to begin, i am hoping a few of you out there would be able to give me some in-site as to how to go about beginning this journey and explore everything i can

I'd begin by making a Fetlife account (if you don't already have one), joining local groups, and getting out to munches. (If you're unfamiliar with the term, "munches" consist of chatting over food with like-minded people, many of whom have been involved with the lifestyle for awhile and have a lot of information that will be useful to you.)

I would recommend reading some of the books on this list.

I would also suggest going onto Fet Life and searching for groups in Houston, especially the TNG groups. Then get out and meet your community.

Read stuff. Observe stuff. Meet people in your area. Fetlife is good for that.

Great advice. I might only add a little reading so one is not in the dark and might decide if this is even for you before going to these face to face activities. I am thinking of two to start, "Screw the Roses, Send me the Thorns", Philip Miller and Molly Devon and "The Loving Dominant", John and Libby Warren. They may be on Amazon, anyone know?

Those are on Amazon.

I stumbled around Fetlife for awhile, but I was involved with the community before I touched those books and wasn't taken aback by anything. *shrug* It's almost certainly up to individual preference. I'd recommend them regardless.
