ChampainDoms -> BDSM Awards? (9/27/2012 4:27:27 PM)

I haven't been over the AVN awards list in a while, but I don't believe they really cover any of the intricate specifics of BDSM or any other fetish. Right?

Well, on the assumption that they don't, how great would it be to see the BDSM AWARDS once a year, also in Vegas. And all the other fetishes getting their own awards show. Would help people distinguish good from bad vids/ BDSM/ etc. scenes. (hopefully).

With at least 106 paraphilias, that might turn out to be a long award ceremony. I can see it now, "and the award for best formicophilia* director goes to Yoko".

Fly (1970)

Directors: John Lennon, Yoko Ono

*Formicophilia: sexual attraction to smaller animals, insects, etc. crawling on parts of the body

If I recall correctly, you are in GA where leather contests abound. Not quite the same as for flicks, etc, but more reputable.

@ResidentSadist: Good point.

@LadyPact: I wouldn't know. Even after having moved here over 4 years ago, money's still tight. But now that I know... living in GA doesn't seem so bleak for the future.

I'm going to get busted for being off topic.

When we moved from CO to GA...... Damn! I thought the world had ended. Being a transplant in the South is like being a stranger in a strange land. It took Me six months to adjust to just the regular stuff. (Have you had your lecture on the proper way to eat grits yet?)

However, when I got past My bullshit of being out of place, those GA folks were pretty darn good to Me. Both in the city where I lived and the greater Atlanta community as well.

If you've been out there four years and are just now branching out, you've cheated yourself. There are some darn good kinky folks out there. The type that will welcome you. Teach you. Go out of their way for you, and darn near anything else you need for you.

SELF is every June in Atlanta. DomCon (Atlanta) is in Oct. Twisted Toyland, January. The local groups have something every weekend.

I was never a stranger coming from Augusta. Not once.

Find those folks, and you'll have it made. The leather community is strong there.

I'm four hours away from those events. Too expensive. But not in the future. Savannah sadly has nothing.

No I've gotten around to meet nice people, through people. And it only took one fetish party for me to meet my Master. 3 years later- we just broke. lol We're waiting to fix up my condo and sell it. Once that happens we're golden. But yeah right now every dollar counts. I can't even afford to start up webcam. :/ Such is life. The waiting is the hard part.

I'm kind of sticking My neck out here. Off topic posts are not welcome these days.

There are events in your backyard. Look up a group called "Kinky in Savannah". Good people there.

I'm not allowed to say anymore on these boards, because it's "off topic:".

If you're doing pro sessions, you should have some cash for a local event.

For consistency and ruthlessness in soliciting dog-licking peanut butter style blowjobs; the nominees are:

Please refer to VAA's recent post on threads pulled for Off Topic:

I have weighed in. As to LP's statements about being off topic, I regret she has that opinion, but I don't for the life of me know why. In the last week, ONLY 7 posts(not including P & R) from ALL USERS have been pulled for being off topic, and NONE were thread drift, and this is NOT thread drift. This is very germaine to the topic of the thread. As I said in another post, I would address thread drift, the Collarme team in all the different departments are putting in their opinions. Also, the last post that LP had personally pulled for being off topic was MARCH 22(over 6 months ago).I know, we checked, because it really floored me that she is stating a problem with posts being pulled due to thread drift or Off Topic, especially since she has not had any personally pulled over 6 months, and also in light of how much she has been involved personally with the site in the past.
