am i missing something,

suggestions, advice or thoughts welcome.

Are you meeting all this people online? If so, I don't think you're missing anything. A lot of people online have no intention of taking it any further - they come online to role play or chat about their fantasies, they climax, they go back to normal life. It is, unfortunately, just the way the internet works. One way to cut down on this is to limit the amount of online time before you meet in public for a coffee, then once you know the other person is seriously interested you can invest time in seeing if you are a good match.

You might have better success meeting people at groups.
