LOL I have been using a gorean term , even before I read those boring damn Books To me Alpha , means what it means in scientific terms , It is not something i change on a whim , My Mate Robin is My " First girl " and my Alpha partner . we are engaged and plan to spend the rest of our lives together. Yes I am dragging my feet after my Divorce LOL so to explain futher I tend to build my relationships on the example of the Wolf , <Shocking aint it > 1) The alpha pair. Sometimes referred to as the breeding pair, the alpha pair consists of a male and a female wolf. These are the two wolves which will, generally, mate and produce offspring . These are the two top-ranking wolves in the pack, and they are dominant over all other wolves in the pack. They often (but not always) direct the activities of the pack. (2) Mature subordinates. These would include the other wolves in the pack who are subservient to the alpha pair. Often, there are two separate dominance orders within a pack - one for males and one for females, but Mech (1999) notes that is not always the case in wild wolf packs. The highest ranking wolves among the mature, subordinate animals are often referred to as beta wolves. (3) Omega wolves. Many wolves packs contain one or a few omega wolves which may be appear to be mistreated by other pack members. Such wolves often avoid the other members of the pack and may be ambushed by other pack members should they try to approach the pack. (4) Juveniles. These would be young wolves that have not yet secured themselves a position within the pack's hierarchy. However, young wolf pups will "play-fight" and this often results in the formation of a dominance hierarchy among the juveniles. This juvenile hierarchy often changes frequently. In this " Ideal" I am My mate , being in a secure relationship and being " breeder's" would equate as Alpha Dominants , even though My mate is Submissive to myself , she has no desire to submit to anyone else though she does enjoy bottoming once and awhile as do I. Mature Subordinates would be those who seek to Submit to Myself or my Mate , Usually Both in Some way because if your in My Pack , even if you belong to another " Dominant" personality in my Pack your still Part of the pack and of course under my power in Some ways , In this I lump Long term connected students and those under mentorship agreements. Omegas are those slaves who wish to be at the bottom of the packs pecking order , Yes it appears they are abused , But thats what they want . Of course I dont allow the Ambusing unless its part of a prenegotiated scene. Juveniles would be those Novice Dom/Sub Top/ Bottom Master / Slaves entering the Pack or wanting to enter the social circle of the pack , they really have no standing other than curtasy , in the Pack Dynamic . Being there to learn they can expect No deferrance from the long standing members of the pack. Not listed in the Wolf section is the "Lone" or independant person , Be they D/s T/B M/S , they are associated but not part of the pack , prefuring to remain on the edges , in the wood so to speak . those we respect and allow in at their convienance. Hows that for an Answer? Have to go scratch fleas now , call me when the deer is pulled down , I get to eat first.
