and this is why I tell people to assume anything you post online is public information even if it says it's private. Nothing is private! When I was still in the dating stage, after the first date if we wanted to see each other again, that night I would google their name and find out tons of info on them and I was able to look them up in the database at the last place I worked. I never told the men though that I found out info about them unless it was something horrid and then I would just cancel the date and move on.

At one time I used to read tarot cards for money at parties and festivals. People would freak out when I would get them so correctly. But it was all just a charade. It's all cold reading...you watch everyone during the party or festival, who they associate with, how they are dressed, their attitude, any identifying info on or around them, etc....it's soooo dang easy!

I sometimes do the same thing with tarot cards and cold reading. Not only can you make pretty good educated guesses, people often want to believe and will do most of the work for you by filling in the gaps and believing that you told them more than you did. That, and they will often walk away not remembering the bits you got wrong, but will remember everything you got right.

I always tell people before hand that it's just a trick, although I've had one or two people that I could tell were still taking me a bit too seriously and I wouldn't read for them again. I especially hate 'psychics' who profit from people's misery through their claims.

I wonder what the hackers would find on me? I think I'm pretty cautious with what I post online, and almost nothing bears my real name except a facebook account I haven't updated since Christmas. I bet I'd be horrified with what they can uncover.

Yep!

I used to do a lot of palm reading, and used to discover all sorts of things about people by using some very simple techniques (I've no clue about palm reading whatsoever).

It got me laid a few times, including a "freebie" from a hooker in Vegas who wanted me to finish my reading.
