And why?

I've used both and I guess they're both good in diff situations.

Not a dog, but I have a furminator for my Ruby (Maine Coon with a thick undercoat). I use a "Zoom groom" for the quick going over.

I use a generic version of the furminator on all three dogs and the cat. The horses have their own variety bucket of goodies.....depending on the coat condition ( winter, summer, spring, mud or no mud, dreads or no dreads, cockle burrs or no...etc) and what part of the body. In addition, one horse is a sensitive baby and hates a few things the other loves.

A furminator thing would be overkill on Calley may, but would have maybe worked well on our other 2.
