ShaharThorne -> RE: It is OCTOBER people!! So check in already! (10/4/2012 9:32:25 PM)

Just got back from Austin and the weather was pretty. Had to sleep in Lizard's bed and use her computer to balance my check book. slept with the window open and enjoyed the mild temps.

right now, Mom is "mad" at me for purchasing a phone card for Lizard's virgin mobile phone but it is the only way I can call her after the 8th. I did not really buy groceries, just some bread, chips and a case of bottled water for Bo (he is very anti-fluoride). We thought that Lizard's computer decided to take a nose dive but the power supplies started working again. I still want to save up some money and get her a Samsung laptop which is way better than the computer she is using.

Bo is getting his retirement check and he wants to buy a car to use. Better for him to roll that over into another account like a 401k or an IRA, this way he would not have to pay taxes on it.

I hope you ladies don't mind but I was just going to post on behalf of WomanlyWiles as she is currently engrossed in a book entitled "The Seven Principles For Making Marriage Work" and rather ironically doesn't want me to disturb her [:D]

Things are going amazingly for us here, WW has been offered a exciting, shiny new job and has a shiny new handbag for it. Double win there, you can never have enough shiny. I'm doing pretty well too, a few comedy clubs are showing some interest, may start making offers and after an embarrassing chance meeting with Paulo Nutini, I now have 15 minutes worth of self-depreciating material. Advantages of being a stand-up, when things go wrong you get a sunny story out of it.

Anyway hope you're all doing well!

The leaves are turning colour. I have put away the Eau Dynamisante. Summer is over.

Other than that, chop wood, carry water.

Howsit where you are?

It's gorgeous in the SF bay area right now. We had a rare thunderstorm last night, so entrancing, and today is cool and clean and smells like woodsmoke. Flannel sheet time! I wonder if I could make flannel sheets a kink.

Weather here is great! Cold at night, cool during the day but not quite cardy wearing. Just missing the autumn colors. Love autumn.

Last check in was a bit ago. Volunteer work for state parks is over for now. Have a lot of freelance projects to finish this winter so I'll be driving less and staying longer at each RV campground.

I did decide where I want to buy property! I'll be moving over to the eastern side of Oregon 2013, ending my full time travel life. Not sure exactly where over there, but I know I want lots of land out where no one can hear you scream. [sm=evil.gif]

Hi all. Some of you may remember me, some not, but anyway... I graduated Navy boot camp two months ago. Couldn't be prouder, but now I'm stuck on hold at RTC doing various jobs in the initial recruit barracks. It's not too bad, we get treated with respect and have more freedom than boot camp, but still, I need to get my career going.

The worst part is missing my lady. I work long hours and so does she, and combined with the time difference we pretty much never get to talk anymore. We do our best though with text messages and voicemail, and I plan on sending her a gift soon. Still... Hurts a lot knowing I can't be there with her.

i miss the more dramatic seasonal changes i saw while living in new england, but i'm thanking my lucky stars that i won't have to slosh through snow this winter. it's still warm here in the bay area, but we've been getting some rain and chilly nights as of late.
